I woke up Sunday morning to my alarm ringing on my nightstand.

I groaned, stretched, then smacked the snooze button and stared at the red numbers.

I get to work at the oh so wonderful bookstore today.

Yay.

I rolled out from underneath Zax the cat and walked to the bathroom.

I looked in the mirror and saw that my face still hadn't changed back to its normal color.

I thought about last night with Morgan and smiled.

After we kissed for what felt like only twenty minutes, he asked me to stay for dinner.

Of course I happily obliged.

After the very delicious meal, we laid on the couch and watched a couple movies.

I don't really know what movies we watched though, I wasn't paying any attention to the screen.

Since my head was on his chest, the only things I heard were the sounds of him breathing, laughing and his heart beating.

I loved that his heart was beating just as fast as mine was.

I seriously wish we could have laid together like that all night.

I sighed and got in the shower and washed my body and brushed my teeth.

Yes, some people brush their teeth in the shower.

I got out and dried off then put some light blue skinny jeans and a white long sleeved crew neck sweater on.

I put some brown Uggs on and walked out my room.

I walked down the stairs and was expecting/hoping for a note from my mom to be on the counter, saying that she no longer needed my help.

But of course she was in the kitchen drinking coffee and pretending to read a magazine.

"Hey, mom." I tried to sound like I was happy to see her.

"Ah, Sophia-Rose! Come look at this! Isn't this the most gorgeous sight you've ever seen?" She held the magazine to my face.

I was actually shocked to see that her bookstore was on the cover.

"Wow." I said and she beamed.

"One of my friends works for this magazine and got my store on the cover! Can you believe it?!" She said and held the magazine close to her chest.

"That's amazing, mom! Good job!"

I had no idea people actually cared about bookstores.

I mean, why pay for a book when you can borrow it from a library anytime you want?

There really isn't a need for bookstores.

"Well, we'd better get going! I still have to paint some of the walls." She said, stood up and grabbed her purse and headed towards the door.

I looked at the magazine again then walked out the door.

"Hey, Sophia! Hi, Sophia's mom!" I saw Adrian and Mickey waving from their roof.

"Oh my gosh!" My mom yelled and ran to their front door and started knocking furiously.

"What are you guys doing up there?" I asked.

"Not much, just chillin'." Adrian said.

"I don't think it's safe for Mickey to be up there, Adrian."

"I'm okay, Sophie!" She said and I sighed.

"Where are you going?" Adrian asked.

"I have to go help my mother make her bookstore pretty." I groaned.
