"Is anyone home?" I yelled as I walked through the front door.
I threw my bag onto the white ottoman then walked over to the couch and laid down.
School was terrible today! I couldn't get to any of my classes on time and all my teachers hated me! And I couldn't stop thinking about what everyone could've been talking about at lunch! No one told me what they were talking about! Alicia tried to in Home Ec. class but Joshua stopped her again!
Left in the dark as always
Why?!
Why does NO ONE feel the need to tell me anything or let me have a say?
I never have a voice even when I scream! I'm getting fucking tired of it!
Calm down, Sophia.
Oh gosh, I usually only curse when I'm mad...or turned on, but that's another story.
I've been mad this entire week, it seems.
I need a vacation.
"Sophia-Rose?" I heard my mother calling from upstairs.
"Yes?"
"Hey, come here for a minute!" She said.
I sighed and lifted my body off the couch and trudged up the stairs.
I walked through the empty hallway and walked into my mother's office and saw a bunch of different paint splotches on her desk.
"How was your first day? Fun right?" She asked.
"Oh, mom it was awf-"
"What color do you think would compliment the books the most?" She asked holding the splotches up.
"Um, I didn't know books could be complimented." I said and she laughed.
"Anything can be complimented! So which one do you think looks best?"
"The green?"
"Well, which green? Sophia, be specific." She said and I sighed.
"I don't know! Light green! I just want to go lay down." I said.
"Did you have a good day at school?" She asked and I wanted to slap her.
"Yeah, mom. It was great." I said and she smiled.
"See! I told you! You can have fun if you just allow yourself to." She said and hugged me.
"Yeah." I said and walked out the room.
"And the neighbors invited us to dinner so we'll be eating over there!" She called from behind me.
Of course
I don't really feel like meeting anymore new people today. That's something you do maybe every month. We can meet the neighbors in a month. Yes, that's sounds nice.
I walked into my room and shut the door then flopped onto my bed.
"Zax?" I called.
"Mroow?" He came from underneath my bed and jumped up next to me.
"Hey, little ninja. Can I tell you about my day?"
"Mrow." He..said..and jumped down and went back under the bed.
"Of course not." I said and rolled onto my stomach and closed my eyes and dreamt of someone to talk to.
-------
"Rose Bud. Baby, wake up." My dad shook me.
"Why? School's over." I groaned.
"No, we're going over to the Addams' house for dinner, sweetie." He chuckled. "Wake up and get ready." He said then left my room.
