"You got the job!" the old wrinkly man shook my hand quite firmly but my eyes widened as the sound of his words echoed in my head. I got the job! I mean I hate coffee but hey this little coffee shop won't be so bad! Right? I mean at the end of the day I'm making the money I need. Thank you sir! So much! You will not regret this I swear." I smiled and grabbed my bag before walking out of the place. I smiled as the satisfying jingle rang as I left and entered the cool breeze. Winter was finally here. In case you didn't realize, I got a job! Finally. My mom's been nagging me too and I mean I'm an adult I guess I should have a steady job instead of babysitting on the side for some extra cash.
I quickly pulled out my phone and opened my contacts hovering over both names watching my thumb do a little dance. I settled over his name and pressed call. "How did it go?!" His words echoed through the phone flowing into my ears. "I got the job!"I shouted into the phone smiling. "No way Gorgeous! I'm so proud of you! I knew you could do it! You were nervous for no reason!" He cheered on the other end of the line. "I know I know, but hey listen I gotta go meet the guys I'll call you later okay" I smiled at the thought of seeing them I saw them two days ago but I still miss them like crazy and seeing them will seriously add to this amazing day..Knock on wood. "Oh um yeah.." He trailed off. "You okay? I Asked curiously. "Yeah Um it's just don't you think you spend a lot of time with them?" My eyebrows knitted together at the thought of his words that literally just fell from his mouth. I cleared my throat. "Well they are my friends." I spoke calmly biting my tongue. "I understand that but-" i cut him off. "Listen I'm in a really great mood right now and I don't want this silly bickering to ruin it can we just talk about it another time?" At this point I was already making my way home where the guys would meet me. My parents were out of town so we were all out of town with the sis so I was just gonna chill with them. (low-key forgot her sister's name and too lazy to check) "No it's fine just forget about it it's not that big of a deal I'll see you tomorrow at the party right?" Realization smacked me straight in the forehead I forgot he asked me to accompany him tomorrow night to this random party. "Uhh yeah sure." I replied not really caring. "Cool see you then." and that was the end of that conversation.
"you know what you guys haven't done in a while?" I threw the popcorn in the air only to catch it with my boobs. I knew these would come in handy some day. I simply grabbed it and tossed it in my mouth before looking back up at the guys who were scattered around my room. "made a youtube video." Calum replied. I lifted My eyebrow towards him in shock he literally read my mind. "How did you know I was gonna say that?" I asked grabbing more popcorn. "I didn't you just thought out loud right now." My mouth formed into an "o" shape "Well yeah you guys should do another cover OOOhHH maybe you should try writing a song too!" I sat up nearly choking on the popcorn. " I reckon we do Jasey Rae! I've been listening to that song on repeat for a while!" Luke sat up next to me. "Leggo" I clicked my tongue before standing up and walking to get my camera to set up.
"This. Is. Beautiful." I pretended to fan my eyes as if they had tears in them. "Oh shut up" Michael laughed. "And... Uploaded." I clapped my hands before turning to them. "Y'all guys are gonna make it big." I smiled. "Again. Oh shut up" Michael smiled back. "Ugh I try to be nice but noo now you gotta feed me." I crossed my arms and huffed. "FINE." He said back. "FINE." "FINE." "FINE!." "I'll take a bowl of cereal please." He rolled his eyes before walking downstairs. "By this point Calum and Ashton were following Michael leaving me and Luke in the room with each other. "race you down!" I shouted before shoving him making him fall onto the bed and bolting off. "HEY." I heard him shout but I was long gone. I reached the bottom stairs heaving while the others were around the table with pen and paper. And a bowl of frosted flakes Michael was eating. "Hey Wheres my bowl?" I pouted. "In the cabinet." He chewed innocently. I rolled my eyes before walking into the kitchen making a bowl for myself. I walked out with a mouthful of cereal and Luke sitting next to the 3 other concentrated man boys. "What's with the pen and paper?" I asked chewing. " We thought we should write a song like you said. You should help." Ash explained. I sighed and took the seat next to him.
"What about, ' even if the sky is falling down, even if the earth is falling in front of me" Calum sang. "You see I like that but what if we do 'Even when the sky is falling down Even when the earth is crumbling 'round my feet" I sang. "I like that" ash smiled. "Even when we try to say goodbye, you can cut the tension with a knife in here" Luke added. "YES." I clapped.
About an hour later we came up with such a beautiful melody I couldn't believe we made up the lyrics ourselves. "I like this. I like it a lot!" I never thought I could smile this wide but nothing is better than watching your four best friends do something with such passion, it felt like our little escape.
