Waking up, I realized Xander wasn't beside me. It was Derek. I looked around, panicked. I was not familiar with this room. The walls were a dark shade of gray and the floors were tiled with white and grey tiles. The room was bare, excluding the large bed and dresser in the corner. Derek had his head down and I suddenly realized why I was here.
"Where is he?!" I asked, startled. Derek moved his head up, looking in my eyes. I saw disgust shining in his glossy orbs. Looking at him fully, he was injured. I could see the dried blood on his face. His lip was busted, displaying new blood to slowly trickle out of the cut. His clothes were torn, showing some of his toned chest.
For a while, Derek didn't say anything, staring at me. He took a deep breath, starting to say something.
"I-"
The door bursts open, exposing Derek's mother and father.
"Derek! Why is your brother in the dungeon?!" Julie exclaimed. I looked at Derek, alarmed.
"What?" I asked softly. He looked at me, his gaze now hardening. He turned to look at his mother, anger now showing on his features.
"That is none of your concern-" She cut him off.
"It is my concern. That is my son.-" He cut her off.
"But you didn't give a damn about me when I was stuck in the dungeon for a few months, for something I didn't even do!" He screamed. Julie looked appalled and went up to him, slapping him hard against his face.
"Don't you ever talk to me like that! I am your mother and you will treat me with respect!" She screamed at him. Derek slowly moved his head to look at her, as it flew to the side with the slap. I saw a fain red handprint on his cheek. It seemed to grow red-er the longer I looked at it.
Derek looked at his mother for a few moments before he tore his gaze away, landing on me. He grabbed my hand, growling something like 'I'm leaving' at his mother before yanking me out of the room. My hand was loose in his tight grip, resulting in me flinging around the halls, with him guiding me through the halls angrily.
"Where are we going?" I asked quietly as we slowed down to an even pace. His reply was a grunt.
"Don't speak." He growled. I closed my mouth, not wanting him to get any more angry. He slowed down even more until we got to a door.
"What-" I start but he spun around, grabbing my neck and pulling me up the cement wall behind me. I clawed at his hand, not being able to breathe. He moved his head so it was in front of my face. I could see his features perfectly, but he looked angry.
"If I tell you to stop talking, stop talking. I'm not in the mood for you and your mouth right now. You will only talk when I tell you to. Got it?" He snapped in my face. I stayed silent, almost ready to pass out. He narrowed his eyes and I pursed my lips.
"Got it?" He growled, squeezing my neck even harder, jamming his knee in my stomach, making me gasp and claw at his hand even more.
"Yes!!" I bit out. He looked at me for a little longer, but then completely dropped me. I landed on the cold ground, gasping for breath and clutching my neck, squirming away from Derek. He flung me towards him with his foot and glared at me.
He unlocked the unfamiliar door and dragged me in. As soon as the door closed, I felt a creepy aurora around me. I got up, looking around at the caged people. Where am I?
A familiar face in the end of the cages caught my attention. I ran to him.
"Xander!" I yelped as I ran to him. An arm snaked around me, pulling me back roughly. I looked up into the eyes of Derek.
