The Boat

I woke up to sea sickness. I jumped out of bed and ran in a bathroom to throw up. When I was finished, I flushed and looked at my surroundings. It looked like a normal hotel room. I got up and looked out the window.

There was water everywhere.

I knew we were on a boat and we hadent moved yet, because I could see the docking area. We were rocking, so that must be the reason of my sickness. I trudged to the door and opened it. I was surprised that it was unlocked. I felt the boat start to move slowley so I started to run.

"Damon! Danny!" I yelled down the halls, hoping to spot one of the two idiots. Damon came up behind me.

"What the hell do you need?" He asked, annoyed.

"Why the hell am I on a boat?" I retorted.

"'Cuz Danny wants you on a boat." He replied, as if it was obvious.

"Where can I get some fresh air?" I asked, knowing that he was going to lead me up the deck. I followed him after he made a movement with his hands and started walking. We walked past some people, not older than 30 and I waved. They gave me an apoligetic look and I grew confused. I looked at Damon and he had a smirk on his face. I shrugged it off, they're probably just messing with me.

We walked up a few stairs and there was a door that said EXIT so I pushed it open. The cool air greeted me, but so did Danny.

"Ahh, my darling. Come now." He said and went to hug me, but I used Damon as a shield.

"Why the hell am I on a boat, Daniel."I made it sound more like a statement. His face grew pale. He knew I was really mad when I callled him by his real name. When Im really mad, someones arm usually gets broken.

"I- um" He said. I rolled my eyes. I walked up to the edge of the boat and held onto its gate. I looked down, it wasnt that bad of a drop. I looked back, we were still docked. I looked at Danny and he was staring intently at me.

"What?" I put on my best innocent act. The boat started moving and we were heading off shore. I looked at Danny and Damon and they were having a quiet talk. I decided to make my jump now. I looked back down and climbed up the gate really fast. Damon looked up and so did Danny. I waved them goodbye and jumped.

I plunged into the water and swam as far away from the boat I could get in one breath. I swam towards shore. The icy water feeling like its cutting through my skin. I bobbed my head up for air and ducked back down. I reached shore a few mintues later, gasping for air.

My body felt limp, but I climbed up the gravel and sand. I started running. I didnt know where but I was sure that I would find someway home. I realized that we werent far from the little store on the corner of my street. So this must be the beach, then. I sat on a rock and watched the waves that were far away. I caught my breath and got up again. I didnt feel a need to be running, so I walked my way to the forest. The forest that was right by my house. It wasnt far away, it was only 5 blocks.

I walked up to the yellow tall grass. I moved some grass out of the way and strated my way through the tall grasses.

I tripped on something and fell, I looked down and there was a purple shimmering stone. I picked it up and examined it. It was about the size of a baseball and when you held it up to the light, it would make a tiny rainbow. I shrugged and put it in my pocket. I kept walking only to find more gems like the purple one, only these were all different colors. I kept following the gems, pushing through the grass. The grass suddenly stopped and it was a stone trail. I looked up and there was the most magnificant place I ever saw.

I never thought I'd end up here.
