The Plan

Jaz's POV:

My eyes tried to open as someone moved the curtains to bring light in the room. My eyes felt puffy and I opened them wider.

"Derek?"

"Rise and shine, cupcake, we're going on an adventure." He said, coming closer to me.

"Where to?" I asked. He thought for a moment.

"Where do you wanna go?" He asked.

"Can we go to the beach?" I asked, hoping to get a tan. I was about as pale as my teeth. And I use whitener.

"Yeah, sure. Get ready." He said, getting up. "We're leaving in 20 minutes." He added, winking and leaving the room. I sighed before getting out of bed and heading in the bathroom. I blindly turned the water on, letting it heat up as I undressed. Thoughts were running through my head but I was too tired right now to sort them.

Getting in the shower, I picked out a new shaver from the white drawer and put it on one of the shelves in the shower. I closed my eyes as the heated water ran down my back and soothed my muscles. I picked up a random shampoo, not caring what the sent was. As I squirted a quarter sized dollop on my hand, the sent ran itself up my nose, engulfing me with a lemon scent. I massaged the shampoo in my hair, closing my eyes. My hair color was turning dull from lack of sunlight, so I was grateful I would go out today.

Why is Derek suddenly taking me out? Is he planning something?

Shaking those thoughts out of my mind, I rinsed out the shampoo and searched to find the lemon conditioner. Considering six of the bottles were yellow, it took a while. When I finally found it, I lathered it in my hair and rinsed.

Will I see Xander today?

Just the name brought tears to my eyes, but not because of loss, because of me. How could I be so stupid? To let someone take my heart, only to rip it to pieces later. It happens to me, I shouldn't trust another guy.

After washing my body and shaving, I got out and wrapped myself up in a towel. I checked the time.

I have 10 minutes left.

I ran in my closet, putting on my black bikini, high waisted faded jean shorts, and an American flag tank top. I dried my hair with the blow drier before straightening it, putting on light makeup, and finding a pair of flip flops to wear.

"Boo." Someone whispered behind me but before I could scream he put his hand over my mouth, dragging me out of the closet and into the hall. I was too weak to fight him off, although I tried, I haven’t fought for a month of so.

After dragging me practically across the whole house, we ended up in the dungeon with the bars. People looked at me hungrily and I grimaced.

"If I move my hand, will you scream?" He asked. I shook my head no, although I was going to. The hand was removed and I took a deep breath to scream before the hand was back on my mouth.

"You forgot I can read minds." He said, removing his hand once he knew I wasn't going to scream. I turned around to find Blaze and Sam. I narrowed my eyes at them.

"I have to leave. Derek's taking me somewhere." I said. Sam nodded.

"I know, we know. We have that covered, Derek is in a meeting right now, so we have 10 minutes tops." Sam said. "We want to make a proposition." He said. With those words, I bolted, but before I could get outside the door, Blaze grabbed me.

"Ah ah ah. Not so fast. It might benefit you." He said while letting me go.

"Might?" I asked. They nodded.

"We saw what happened with you and Xa-"

"Don't say his name." I growled, cutting him off. Sam looked at Blaze.

"Just tell me what you want." I pleaded, wanting to be left alone.

"We want to kill the BlueSuns." Blaze said simply.

"And?" I asked after a while of silence.

"And we need you to do it. Kill Danny." Sam said.

"Like I didn't already try." I mumbled. "So then how am I going to do that?" I asked. Blaze smiled at me.

"You are going to make Derek let you go. Be free of you forever. Then when that happens, go back to Danny. Gain his trust and kill him." He said. I shook my head after thinking it over.

"How do you think I will make Derek just....let me go?" I asked.

"His biggest weak spot is me. You talk to him about my mother, and he will for sure get pissed. Piss him off more, you know how to do that, and he will let you go." Blaze said with a grin.

"And what if I say no?" I asked, eyeing him.

"Then we will just have to kill the FireLeaves." He said. My whole world stopped and I panicked.

"You can't. You won't." I asked.

"We have three times the army now that most of the FireLeaves are gone. We could take them out in an hour." He said. I thought about it for a while. He wouldn't...would he?

"Fine." I whispered regretfully. " I'll start another day though, I just want to relax today. Not worry about anything." I said. They both nodded.

“Let the plan begin.” Sam whispered before letting me out of the room.

I walked the halls until I came upon the kitchen.

"Good morning Julie." I said to her. She smiled at me.

"Morning, Jaz." She said as I got an apple from the bowl.

"Have you seen Derek?" I asked. She nodded her head, putting down her tea.

"He was just looking for you actually. He went through there." She said, pointing to a hallway. I nodded, mumbling a thanks before heading that way.

After a few minutes of checking doors, i found nothing.

"Jaz?" Someone asked behind me. I turned to find Derek.

"Oh, there you are. I was looking for you." I said, walking towards him.

"Same." He said, pulling me in by the waist so I was against his chest. We walked further until a question came to mind.

"Why are you taking me out?" I asked. His grip tightened around my waist.

"I just thought you could get out of the house for a while." He said. I nodded before walking in the kitchen, leaving Derek behind me to follow. Xander was talking with his mother and I stopped walking. He moved his head up, looking into my eyes.

I'm sorry.

He said in my mind and I looked away.

You have nothing to be sorry for, it was my fault for trusting you.

I responded, looking back at him to see hurt in his eyes.

"Jaz-" He began but I cut him off.

"Don't." I said swiftly, tears brimming my eyes. Derek's hand went around my waist as we walked out of the kitchen.

"Don't let him get to you." He whispered, walking out of the house.

There was only one thing going through my mind.

Should I do the plan?
