I walked further up the stoned path to a tree, with white branches that looked like water vapor. I reached my hand up to touch it, but my hand connected with air. The white whisked around my hand, producing a sparkly white rose bud. I took the little object out of my hand and looked closely at it. The top had a faint rainbow glow. I put it in my sweatshirt pocket and looked at the tree again. The bark was a normal brown, with a tinge of shine to it. The grass around the tree was a very healthy green and had daisys sprinkled everywhere.
I looked past the tree to see a little buliding. I started walking there and I felt something watching me. I turned around and I saw green eyes staring at me.
"Hi?" I asked. The thing jumped out. I took a close look at the human in front of me. She had short blonde hair and green eyes. She was skinny and I could tell that she didnt like taking a risk.
"What are you doing here? I've never seen you here before, you shouldnt be here. Its not safe." She mumbled looking into my eyes. I took a step back and answered.
"I was just walking and I found this place. Whats not safe about it?"
"There are....things that could kill you in here." she said. I chuckled.
"Like what?" I asked.
"There are flowerchoppers." she said. I looked confused.
"What are those?" I asked. She shook her head.
"I already told you too much. You must go and never come back. They will find you." She said before she pushed me towards the tall yellow grass. She barely even told me anything! I walked away from the wonderland, knowing it wouldnt be my last time there.

I arrived at my house a few moments later. I knocked on the door and didnt hear any noises.
"Mom?" I asked when I opened the door a crack. No answer. I walked up the stairs and into all of the rooms. I went in my mom's bedroom. Derek smiled at me and was holding a knife up to my panicking mother's neck.
"Dont!" I yelled as he started digging the knife deeper. He stopped.
"Aww, Jaz came back. Where've ya been, sweetheart?" He asked. I looked back at my mother.
"I dont think I need to tell you." I said boldly, but as soon as my mothers cry of pain registered in my ears, I looked at the knife, that was digging even further then before.
"Stop!" I said. He paused, not moving the knife, but not digging any deeper.
"Just tell me and I will let her go." He said.
"I dont think I should tell you in front of her, she doesnt need to know." I said.
"Why not?" He asked, already knowing the answer.
"Dont make me do this, Derek. She doesnt need to know." I said sternly. He raised his eyebrows.
"I think she does.." He said, pushing the knife. I had no choice now. If I disobeyed again, he would surely kill her. It took a moment to figure out was I was gonna say, leaving out the part about the wonderland I found. What he doesnt know wont kill him, right?
"I was kidnapped by the BlueSuns and they took me on a boat. Danny, which is apparently 'Price Daniel' wanted to keep me there but I swam off and onto shore." I said. He paused, probably thinking it over to makke sure it made sense, that I wasnt lying.
"Thats all I needed to hear." Derek said as he sliced my mothers neck open. She fell to the ground with a thud, her own blood pooling around her. My mouth opened and my eyes went wide. She was the only blood family that I had left.
"Now come on, darling. We're off to home." Derek said as he pulled my arm. His words didnt even register in my mind. I was too shocked to do anything, so I let him drag me. We went out the front door and there was a car waiting for us. He opened the door for me and I went in, sitting on the far side of the car with my head on the cold, frosty window. Derek got in and shut the door, he turned his head to look at me, but I was too busy thinking about all the good times me and my mother had. There was only about 2 or 3 so it didnt take that long. But it was enough good times for me to miss her a lot.
I looked out the window, we were already at Derek's house. He opened the door for me and I got out. I walked up to the front door and knocked. The old lady from when I first came here opened it and I smiled at her. She looked shocked that someone acknoledged something that she did. I walked in the hallway, passing Sam. He tugged on my arm.
"Where've you been?! Derek's been going crazy mad!" He said. I pulled my arm out of his grip and looked coldly at his eyes.
"Leave me the hell alone." I spat harshly in his face. I turned on my heel and walked into my room, falling on my bed, and going to sleep that night. Thinking about what I would do to hurt Derek, as he hurt me.
