Unmasked, Team 7

A plan made...

A 6 year old blonde headed boy barged into the hokage's office, again. "Hey jiji, what ya doing?" 

The god of shinobi sighed heavily before smoking his pipe and replying "Hello to you too Naruto, and I'm sorting out this year genin teams." 

The blonde frowned in confusion "Genin teams?" he repeated. 

"Yes Naru, you have to balance out the teams for example if the dead last of the year was put to a team so would the rookie of the year and the top kunoichi of the year to balance out the teams." the hokage responded kindly, always willing to help expand the young blonde's knowledge. 

'Hey kit i bet if you, Sakura and Sasuke become the 'dead last' ,'top kunoichi' and the 'top rookie' you will be placed on the same teams.' said kurama. 

Naruto's eyes widened in amazement as a plan slowly formed in his mind 'That's a brilliant idea kurama, man you're the best.' replied Naruto 

'I try kit i try' responded the fox smugly. 

Naruto mentally rolled his eyes 'yeah yeah' he said. "Hmmm, so Jiji is it like that for every year?" asked Naruto 

"No it doesn't happen very often, because the dead last in the classes hardly ever past the graduation exam." 

"Ok old man, I'm going to get some raman. See ya" Naruto said as he waved his hand only to stop and ask "hey jiji, do you think I can become a ninja?" 

The Hokage looked Naruto in the eye, his task forgotten for seriousness and said "Are you sure you want to? It's a massive responsibility" the boy met the Hokage's eyes and said without hesitation but with determination "I am completely sure old man, I wanna protect the people I hold dear to me!" 

The old shinobi's eyes soften upon hearing his reply 'the will of fire burns strong within him. It will only grow stronger with time.' he thought before answering "Ok Naruto I will sign you up, now get out some I can do this blasted paperwork" Naruto grinned and walked out happily, ignoring the Hokage's cries as someone comes in with a pile of that 'blasted paperwork'.

Three young children meet up in the forest as they always do at 8:00 at the night everyday. "Hey 'Suke, 'Kura" Naruto greeted happily waving his hand like a madman. The other two exchange glances wondering if he ate or drunk he shouldn't have.

"What's wrong , nii-chan" Sakura asked (A/N when alone they sometimes call each other brother and sister or nee-chan and nii-chan as they think of each other like family) Naruto grinned at both of their confusion and told them of what he heard from the Hokage.

Sakura and Sasuke blinked, processing the information we have just received before matching Naruto's grin. "So I'm guessing we should act then at the academy I mean?" asked Sasuke 

"That would probably be a good idea." responded Sakura with a nod of agreement "Got any ideas for how we should act then, Naru" she continued. 

"Yeh, I've been thinking about it but you're probably not going to like it." Sakura and Sasuke looked at Naruto willing him to continue "Well Sasuke should act like he has a stick up his ass seen as you are an uchiha and Sakura because 'Suke an uchiha, you'll need to be a.... fangirl. While me -being the dead last and all- will act like an idiot." continued Naruto. Sasuke's and Sakura's faces turned into ones of a disgusted nature as fangirls, emos and idiots really get on their nerves in fact they hate them with a passion, 

"We really have no choice do we?" Sasuke asked so what hopefully

 "Nope we don't 'Suke, not if we wanna be in teams when were 12 and make it look real." replied Naruto. 

"Well we will need to train so we are stronger than must teams in our year when we 'unmask'" commented Sakura 

"we can use the Uchiha library and training grounds for that so no-one sees us" Sasuke added, always willing to help his new family. 

"Then its sorted, but remember we can't be seen together otherwise people will start to get suspicious of us." Naruto said with a grin but you could see with sadness in his eye then he mentioned the last part. A chorus of 'yeahs' were heard, not wanting to lose themselves to sadness.

------------- 4 YEARS LATER------------

Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto were on summer break for two months which they were encouraged to use the time for training and studying by the academy teachers, and they did just that for one month and they came up with numerous tag team nin and taijutsu they could perform as they liked working in a team. At the moment they were in the Uchiha library looking for some new jutsus they could perform separately.

"Hey guys" said sakura "I've found this cool book, it talks about 'spirit swords' it sound kinda cool." Sasuke and Naruto ran over to her interested in what she has found with grins on their faces. 

"Wow Sakura-chan " Naruto teased in an idiotic voice. 

Both other members rolled their eyes "I don't think I've seen that before, looks old" said an 10 year old Sasuke helpfully. 

'kit that is an ancient book, one that holds great power the 'spirits swords' are unique to each person, though only someone without evil intention for the book are able to perform the jutsu.' Kurama said, Naruto repeated what kurama said and all three began reading the book.

2 weeks later and the three friends have gotten the spirit swords and were the least to say impressed, all agreed it as cool- being able to talk to your swords in your head when meditating and said swords materialising in front to them. 

Sasuke's is called 'Jigoku no hi' or 'hellfire' and in his mind takes the form of a lion with its fur dark blue with blue fire surrounding it and blood red eyes. 

Sakura's is called 'Hīrā no buresu' or 'Healer's Breath' taking the form of a proud white snow leopard with a left orange eye and a right blue. 

Lastly, Naruto's is called 'Kitsune' or 'Fox' (A/N no surprise there) which takes the form of a large black furred fox with blue eyes - the same colour as Naruto's- and a cross scar on its right shoulder.

The other two weeks were spent trying to master the abilities of their spirit swords with Kurama's help and advice so now they can release their swords but most importantly they could take down their masks if only for a little while...

Just wanna say now. That will be the ONLY blench reference. I quite like the swords having a soul and being able to talk so I stole it. Really sorry to any that don't like it but it'll only be a small part (if that) of the story.
