Unmasked, Team 7

Land of waves mission - Part Two

~~~~~~~~KAKASHI'S POV~~~~~~~~~~

After the 'exciting' explanation of how Tazuna's bridge will save the land of waves I learnt some things:

1. My genin knew all about this yet didn't decide it was necessary to tell me -.-

2. Many builders are quitting everyday because they feel intimidated by Gato.

3. Tsunami is a brilliant cook.

4. Tazuna's grandson has no manners...

A young boy with a weird hat bust through the door, not even acknowledging the ninja before him. He run up on Tazuna and hugged him "Hello grandfather!" 

"hello Inrai, how you doing today?" Tazuna didn't seem to mind either but his daughter did.

"Inrai, say hello to the ninja who are escorting your grandfather!" scolded Tsunami. 

" But mom, they're just going to die anyway" Inrai said not even looking at us, in the corner of my eye I saw Sakura nearly bursting with rage and Sasuke and Naruto glaring daggers at him. 

"What was that... Kid?" Naruto said through his teeth trying to calm down. I can't blame him, we've have just fought a rogue ex-anbu, even though Tazuna lied to us and he says we're going to die. While it was true, all ninja and civilans alike, do eventually die, it was just plain rude to the people keeping your family alive.

" I said you're going to die!" Inari shouted back, and Naruto released his KI slightly losing control, but seeing this Sasuke and Sakura put their hands on his shoulders calming him calm. 'Their a good team' I thought proudly. 

Naruto put on a fake smile because he was still very angry "To you guys we've like heroes, and heroes always win!" he shouted, fist pumping and Sasuke and Sakura shot each other a look, that looked like understanding and being proud, but I wonder of what... 

"Heroes don't exist, they're not real" Inari shouted with anger and sadness. Suddenly Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura got a dark look in their eye, they hanged their heads putting their hands into fists. 

"Heroes will always exist, boy" said Sasuke 

"They save you" said Sakura 

"And they make you feel fulfilled every time you are with them" said Naruto 

"While you may not see them as heroes when you meet them" said Sasuke

 "a day will come when you think 'you are my hero'" finished Sakura, each of them flashing a fake smile. I blinked both stunned and curious. 

"You don't know pain, sadness or loneliness, so what do you know" shouted Inari back to them 

"We know a lot more than you, brat." the genin said together, and they looked at me -their eyes clouded with sadness 

"Excuse us, Sensei" said Sasuke, seeing the other two were incapable of speaking. With that Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto all got up and left.'Judging by Sakura's eyes she has had her fair share of sadness too' I thought sadly as Inari stormed out of the room.

It's been an hour now, I better go see if their okay. I got up out of my seat, startling Tazuna out of his drink for a short and brief moment "Sorry just off it see how my genin are doing."  I explained.

"Ah, that's fine" he replied before looking back at his sake. I walked to the door opened the door and set off into the woods 'Yeah my genin' I thought, just realising what I called them 'I've grown really attached to them, is this what you thought of us, Minato-sensei'. 

Smiling gently behind my mask, I finally reached the middle of the woods, seeing the genin there. They was resting together, with their backs resting against each other. "You guys okay?" I asked, walking to them realising they either didn't sense me or didn't care i was there. 

They looked towards me slowly, smiling gently "Yeah, we were just pissed at what he said, but we've over it now" Naruto said, gaining nods from Sakura and Sasuke.

"Do you wanna tell me what that was all about then?" they looked at me confused "You were speaking from experiences right?" I prodded gently, they nodded. 

"The one of the reasons why we are so close is because we saved each other from our own sadness" said Sakura 

"These guys saved me from the pain of losing my clan"stated Sasuke sadly as he raised his head to the night sky as if remembering the events. 

"Sasuke and Sakura saved me from the pain of loneliness and the hate filled glares" Naruto said gently. I looked at Sakura, I didn't know her pain as far as I knew from her files is that she was a normal girl with a normal life. " My father, h-he abused me, hurt me. Naruto and Sasuke saved me from feeling alone..." I looked at her in shock "Of course that isn't happening now" she laughed humorlessly, she must have seen my confused face because she opened her mouth to explain. "He kicked me out, so I live with Sasuke and Naruto now at the Uchiha Compound" I blinked processing the information, 'so they're each other's heroes, huh?' i thought before something clicked. 

"What you guys live together?!" 

"Yep, have done since we were little" said Naruto happy that I changed the subject. 

"Yeah, but how come no-one found out?!" i said shocked.

 "Well as you know sensei, we're pretty sneaky when we want to be" explained Sasuke making me sweat drop 'Yeah you are, and to probably have even more secrets too.' 

"I'm gonna go out on a wimp and say you guys like surprising people?" I said still sweat dropping. 

They all nodded happily, "Oh and sensei?" I looked at Sasuke "We would appreciate it if you kept what you heard here a secret" stated Sasuke, i looked towards Sakura "but don't you want him to be put on trail or something?" 

Sakura shook her head "I want him to see what he pushed away, don't get me wrong I haven't forgiven him, I don't think I ever can, I've just accepted what happened. Besides I'm a lot more happier with my nii-chans" she said with a smile. "So your family, huh?" they shook their heads with a knowing smile. 

"We're a team sensei, so that means you are included in this Family, sensei" Naruto said 

"Whether you like it or not" Sasuke said with an Uchiha smirk, making me smile 'Part of their family, huh?' i thought 'I like it, being apart of a family and at least with this family it won't get boring' I mentally chuckled at the thought.
