Unmasked, Team 7

Zabuza's and Haku's Bond

It's been one whole week since Team 7 arrived at Tazuna's House during this time the genin of the team...

...Trained. Yep. Just trained, but for the Chunin exams since they were desperate to take them, they thought why not train for them. Kakashi has been secretly watching them to see if he could discover any more 'secrets' because he'd rather not look like a surprised/confused idiot in front of them, but he hasn't had much luck.

~~~~~~~NARUTO'S POV~~~~~~~~

The bridge is nearly complete.... FINALLY. *sigh* it's so boring watching a bridge being built. I know why the bridge is being built but... "Naru, you ok?" asked Sakura 

"Yeah, just... you know" 

She rolled her eyes at me "You're bored aren't you?" she stated calmly. 

I nodded quickly and dodged the senbon she threw at me. We stared at each and burst out laughing. Sasuke bursts into the room from the noise, and seeing all the senbon on the wall that was aimed at my head, laughed with us. "Guys, come on we gotta go..." said kakashi as he walked in the room and walking back out as if they weren't three 12 year olds laughing their asses off, trying to breathe.

When we finally stopped laughing and we when down stairs, about to leave. "Guys I'll stay behind and make sure these guys are okAT" I stated. 

"You sure, Ruto?" asked Sasuke.

I nodded "If Gato sends some men after these guys while we've all out they are going to be gone before we can do anything about it. Now go." I said sending them a bright smile, to which they all smiled back at. They walked out, towards the Bridge and I sent a shadow clone to watch until I make sure those guys are okay.

I heard a knocking at the door and Tsunami when to get it. "It's okay Tsunami-san, I've got it" I said as I got out of my seat at strolled towards the door. Opening it, I saw two rough looking men. I raised an eyebrow, unimpressed "Can i help you?" 

"Yeah, you can. Where's the Bridge Builder's daughter?" One of them asked 

"And why would have concern you?" I asked innocently, already knowing the answer. My theory was confirmed when they both started to smirk evilly 

"Get out of the way, punk!" they exclaimed together, trying to push me out of the way. I quickly pressure pointed them like Nee-chan taught me, successfully knocking them out. I turned around to see a wide eyed Inari, I walked up to him and bent down in front of him, putting my hand on his head. "See I told you heroes exist." i stated happily as he nodded his head. "Can you do something for me?" I asked with a determined voice, hearing my voice his eyes too become determined and he nodded enthusiastically once again "I need you to round up the villagers up stand up to Gato" he looked at me uncertain "There is a time when a boy turns into a man, this is your time. So what will you do, it's your choice" 

"I'll do it!" he said determined and I smiled lightly at him. 

"Good, well this is where I take my leave" I spoke gently as I walked out of the door.

Sensing around for Chakra signals to sense if the others are okay, I found a lot of Chakra signals together. Finding this suspicious I headed in the direction of Chakra. 

Arriving, I heard "When Zabuza and that brat has killed off those pests we'll kill them, that'll show them trying to threaten me and breaking my arm!" a small man exclaimed 'Gato' i thought and ran quickly to the bridge, popping my clone to give me information on the fight. Finally getting to my destination, I spotted Zabuza in the mist. I RAn up to him blocking him from kakashi attack, which surprised both of them "What are you doing, brat" 

"There is no need for us to fight, I overheard Gato planning to cut you off as soon as you kill us." I stated calmly like a haven't got two anbu level ninja glaring at me for interrupting their fight. Zabuza studied me for a while, looking for any lie in my voice, face or body language. Seeing that I wasn't lying he called Haku back, who obeyed willingly, probably not wanting to kill 'kids'. Sasuke and Sakura rushed to Haku and was about to attack but seeing me standing with Zabuza they got the idea that we weren't enemies. 

"Damn, and Haku was a good opponent" muttered Sasuke under his breath as Sakura laughed at him. 

"You better not be lying kid" I sighed at Zabuza "What would I gain for lying to you, you won't put down your guard around me because you were an anbu before defecting from your village." I said mocking kakashi's bored voice causing Sasuke and Sakura to snicker and Kakashi to glare at me. "Ahhhh the lazy ninja is going to kill me, protect me nii-chan!" i screamed, running behind Sasuke who had an amused look at he side stepped me, making me pout. 'he would abandon his own brother, how cruel, it's painful' I thought mockingly. 

"You called Sasuke your brother but you don't look alike at all" stated Haku, in a round-a-bout way too ask a question. 

"That's because we aren't related by blood, but if you trust someone enough then they become as important as family. Perhaps even more so, you understand that don't you?" I said eyeing Zabuza with a knowing look as I watched Haku nod.

After a few minutes, a small figure could be seen coming up to the bridge. Zabuza, Haku and Kakashi were immediately on guard but the genin were to lazy to even bother and knew it would sort out itself. "What is going on Zabuza!?! I ordered you to kill them, not have a nice chat!" the midget shouted angrily. 

Zabuza calmly raised his eyebrow but his killing intent was far from calm "You don't get to order me around you goddamn midget!" he shouted as we all snickered at the comment.

Gato went red with anger "I wasn't going you pay you anyway, boys.." he said glancing at us before glancing back to the army of mercenaries behind him "Kill them" he ordered. The mercenaries shouted with sick excitement, rushing at us. 

Zabuza looked at me "Looks like you were telling the truth kid, you're alright" he said before rushing of to meet the army in front of us with Haku close behind him. 

I looked at my family "We don't wanna miss out on the fun do we?" I asked not waiting for an answer as I summoned Kitsune and charged the army with a fox like grin that would make Kurama proud. Sakura and Sasuke looked at each other before grinning and summoning Healer's breathe and Hellfire, and running after me.

After some mercenaries were killed, injured or ran away, I looked toward Zabuza "Well that's done" I said indifferently "Do you guys have anywhere to go now?" I asked. 

Haku and Zabuza looked at me like I've grown another head "Why are you asking us that?" they asked slowly trying to figure it out. I grinned one of my infamous grins and Sasuke and Sakura knew what I was getting onto and so grinned too. 

"Well you could come to the leaf" I suggest dropping the bomb causally. Their eyes widened in disbelief.

"But we were enemies" said Haku confused.

"That's water under the bridge now, Haku-san" said Sakura sharing my grin. Kakashi just sighed lazily, knowing he couldn't talk us out of this. 

"And why would your Hokage agree to that?" asked Zabuza. 

"Well I have some dirt on him and Sasuke the last Uchiha, the council will do anything for him" i said happily. 

"Did you just say that'll you blackmail the Hokage?" asked Kakashi 

"Yep" i said popping the 'p'. Haku and Zabuza looked at each other silently thinking over the pros and cons 'one more push' i thought "Plus you could name Haku your official son..." I said under my breath but loud enough so they could hear me. Haku's eyes became with hope and happiness and seeing that look on Haku's face Zabuza couldn't decline "That's low" he muttered. I pretended I didn't hear him "Isn't that great Haku?" i asked happily and he nodded, too happy to speak.
