"Love is just a game"

"Danielle?," she just stays silent. I lower my voice to a whisper "Danielle, why are you here then?"

She pulls her head back up wiping tears from her cheeks. "I was paid, I shouldn't have done it, I was told to break you two apart, I'm so sorry"

My legs start to go weak so lean on the wall to regain my balance.

My voice is shaky and I squeak out the words.

"By who?"

She looks into my eyes, tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Carter"

It's funny, how you think you know someone but then they do something and suddenly you two are complete strangers.

"I...thanks for telling me" I croak out.

Danielle wipes some tears from under her eyes. "Ella I'm so sorry, I didn't think, I know you'll never forgive me but--"

"I forgive you" I say cutting her off.

Most people wouldn't have. Yeah I get why they wouldn't, but seeing her here, crying, it changes my thoughts. It's not her fault. To some point it is but I don't know her story. She may have needed the money carter offered. I've known carter my whole life, his family is rich. There's no doubt about that, and I know if he was paying someone to do something for him he wouldn't have paid lightly.

I don't want to go around the rest of my life hating this girl when all she wants is forgiveness for something she did wrong.

She looks surprised "Ella I.."

"Danielle, it's ok now. You told me the truth, thank you"

She looks at me and smiles "I should go, it's going to start raining again"

"Ok, thank you, for coming round, and you know.. Telling me the truth"

Danielle just simply smiles. "Thank you Ella, you've always been a good friend to me"

A give her a shy smile. Danielle turns around and heads out the door. She was right, it started raining just as she stepped outside. She gets into her car and drives off.

Nicole and Luke come back inside.

"What was that about?" Nicole asks.

I pause. "Nicole, is it ok if you go to your apartment tonight? I feel like I'm going to be getting a few more visits tonight and I kinda need to deal with them on my own."

Nicole looks to Luke for an answer.

"We'll go" Luke says giving an answer for both of them.

"Thanks, I owe you"

Wes' P.O.V

I hadn't even thought about what I was going to say when I got to Ella's. I guess it'll just come to me.

I see Ella's car driving ahead of me. I know it's her car because I recognise the number plate and well you can tell by her careful driving. I decide to follow her and talk to her when she stops. It gets harder to follow her when the rain picks up and it almost makes you blind.

"What is she even doing?!" I whisper to myself.

I keep a good distance behind her the whole way. After about 5 minutes she pulls up at a house. I continue driving and turn down a road a couple of houses away.

I walk back down to the house I saw Ella go into. I crouch down by a fence next to a bush. I can hear clearly because the rain has died down.

Ella knocks on the door and after about 10 seconds the door flies open.
