Louis' P.O.V
Louis looked up at Harry with what he hoped was a reassuring smile. They stepped on to the interview stage and were greeted with silence. None of the audience seemed to know how to react. Should they cheer? Should they boo? Should they cry, opening their arms to offer sympathy? Instead they stared at Harry and Louis with grim expressions. Even the interviewer winced before gesturing to a sofa for them to sit on.
"This..." The interviewer started with an uncertain voice. He drew in a deep breath before continuing.
"This is a dark time as you know already. Many people fear what will happen next, what do you see for the future?" Harry stood up, wiping his sweaty palms on his jeans.
"The future is as fickle as it is irrelevant; events, that you spend your whole life looking towards can be changed in a matter of days. If you came here for comforting words then leave, for I have none. If you are scared then you're not the only one, but don't you see what's happening? We are always looking over our shoulder for the next threat to human existence, but really we are the threat. Shootings, bombings, terrorist attacks," Harry's voice cracked.
"They are always in the news. And as for the future, no one knows what will happen next." Louis blinked back a rogue tear, grief tugging at his heart, wishing not be forgotten. It would have been a beautiful moment, even the cameras had stopped flashing. Except there's always one to ruin moments like these...
"What will happen to One Direction? Are you guys still going to do songs?" Shouted someone from the audience. Harry sighed, sitting back down. Louis however, looked out at the expectant crowd, his eyes ablaze.
"Really?! You know what? Fuck you." He shouted, gesturing to all of the crowd before storming off stage. Harry then followed suit, but with a lower level of rage. After all that had happened, people just wanted to know about their next few albums?
As Louis made his way to the car, he groaned from just picturing the next headlines. 'Boyband Member Drops F Bomb' He could already taste bitter regret, dancing on his tongue. They'd probably now go down in history as just a waste of talent. Before Louis could dwell too much on his thoughts, Harry joined him at the car.
"Lunch?" Asked Harry. Louis gave a weak smile before doing up the buckle on his seatbelt.
"I thought you'd never ask."
A/N: Hi, I know that this chapter isn't written exactly brilliantly, but this bit is a bit more complicated. I think I'm trying to get the public's reaction, and then the boy's reaction to theirs... By the way, did you like the Ed Sheeran reference? I love Ed Sheeran, he isn't just a ginger Jesus he's a ginger God of everything. Great chap.
Thank you for the reads! It's really awesome, I really do appreciate it. Ever since I was little I wanted to write stories. One day I actually cried because I realised that I probably wouldn't get anything published, so although this isn't a living, I do get to live my dream through a hobby. :-)
