Niall's P.O.V
After the call to Braith, Niall felt waves of guilt wash over him. Was it insensitive to start dating again? He didn't want to appear to have forgotten Liam, yet again he didn't want to cling on to fading memories like they were lifelines. Where could you draw the line between moving on and forgetting?
"Are you okay?"
Niall looked up to see Harry leaning against the doorframe, before smiling slightly. "I asked Braith if she'd like to come round for coffee, and she said yes!" Said Niall contentedly.
"Good on you Niall." Smiled Harry as he clapped Niall on the back.
Harry's P.O.V
Harry hadn't been out with anyone since Liam died. He didn't feel as bad as Niall did, in fact he didn't feel anything at all. Harry felt numb to the world. He wanted to be happy for Louis and Niall, but he didn't feel anything. He had to plaster on a big fake smile and congratulate them, or cheer them up when they were down. That was why Harry had kept his love life empty. What was the point if you didn't feel anything towards your partner? He didn't even do one night stands anymore, and at the end of the day it wasn't even worth it.
Harry had seen Niall at his worst, and it was awful. Although Harry had felt empty even then, when Niall had mourned it was like watching someone go insane. He had heard Niall scream, the night before Liam died. It was a gut wrenching scream, that made you want to pull at your hair, and scream too. But Harry didn't say a word, he had assumed that Niall just had a wretched nightmare. But looking back on it, Harry felt that he should have stopped the lot of them from leaving the house, and saved a life. Would it have made a difference.
A/N: I'm sorry for the late chapter, I've just been a bit down lately.
