Hesitantly, I put the bat down but I didn't dare to loosen the grip on it. I was staring dagger at Vanoss, trying not to get even more pissed that he broke into my home.
How the hell does he even know where I live?!
"If you actually wanted to talk to me, you would've not broken into my home." I said sassily, also adding some annoyance to it." And why are you even here?"
Vanoss glared at me from underneath those shades," You know why I'm here." He said while taking a few steps forward until we were within arm's reach.
Each step he took, the grip on the bat tightened. I stood my ground so he wouldn't think that I was intimidated by him, which I wasn't of course.
Yeah, just keep telling yourself that A voice said in my head.
"Well, could you tell me since I don't have a clue." I spoke, the attitude still in my voice.
Vanoss' facial features hardened." I know you're smart enough to figure that out yourself." He stated, pulling out a crinkled piece of paper from the inside pocket of his red jacket and reaching out for me to grab it. I didn't have to look at it to know what it was, it was obvious.
But what wasn't obvious was Vanoss' next intention. Using the paper that I grabbed, he suddenly pulled me into him, making me roughly bump into his hard chest. As a reflex, I swung the bat towards his head but he caught it effortlessly. When he did, he pulled it out of my grip and pinned me to the wall with both hands on either sides before I could do anything else. I couldn't kick him either since he also used his body to securely pin me to the wall. The more I struggled, the stronger the grip he had on my wrists. Because of that, I stopped struggling.
"I know you did this, it has your name written all over it." He gritted, getting into my face, the anger clear on his face now.
"You have no proof." I said defiantly, looking at him right in the eyes—well shades. His vice-like grip tightened around my wrists as I closed my eyes and hissed in pain.
Vanoss then brushed past my face and stopped his mouth before my ear." You're one beautiful girl, you know that right Nyssa?" He said, his hot breath flowing on my ear and down my neck. For some reason, what he said caught me by surprise but I knew that there was a catch to it." It'd be ashamed if I had to change that."
And there was the catch
And me being a smart-ass replied back with," If you're so ashamed, then don't do it." I then let out a short chuckle." In fact, go ahead. Do it. There's no one here's to stop you." I challenged.
The reaction I didn't expect from Vanoss was for him to suddenly laugh," Like I said before Nyssa, I only came here to talk." He spoke, facing me once again.
The two of us eyed each other out, waiting for one of us to back down from the intense glares we were giving each other. Vanoss was the first to break, but only because he let go of the grip and took a few steps back.
"But I'm gonna give you my word that I will make you're life a living hell, whether if or not you were behind the article." Vanoss threatened before leaving, his voice low and almost menacing.
Feeling tired, I slid down the wall until I was sitting, resting my head against the wall and closing my eyes. My mind immediately went to thinking back to the threat. When I did, a chill ran up my spine. The threat almost made me regret trying to takedown Vanoss Crew. Almost. Eventually, I fell asleep thinking about Vanoss Crew with one question in mind:
What am I going to do now?
