I stood behind a large rock ready to strike anything that came my way. I shook in fear while I waited in silence.

Plenty of time passed and the sun began to set, the sunset was beautiful. Pink, orange, and blue mixed together transforming the sky.

The soft, chilly breeze sent chills down my spine as I stood with my sword ready. Soon all I could hear was silence, It was saddening. I stood there watching the stars shine bright in the sky. The full moon casting a light shadow of someone coming my way.

"Oh, what's this?" A deep voice whispered as they spotted me.

My heart fluttered and I swung my sword at my target.

"Whoa, tough one." The man growled as he grabbed my wrist, spun me around and threw my sword to the side. My back was pressed against his body. I clenched my jaw and elbowed him in the stomach but he didn't budge.

I squirmed as his finger tips traced the nape of my neck. The sensation sent chills down my spine. He brought his fangs to my shoulder and chomped down. I flinched at the sound of my own skin tearing around his fangs. I bit my lip and noticed a shadow emerge from the far left of me.

He's back!

The vampire that left me here slowly approached us and grabbed the other vampire by the throat and threw him into a brick wall without hesitation. The ground shook with the amount of force he used against his own kind.

"This one is mine. You dare pierce my prey's flesh. Leave." He spoke firmly. The vampire left in a hurry, his expression was stale, almost as if he expected the outcome.

I covered the bite mark with my hand and stared at him.

"Are you...going to kill me now?" I asked

His beautiful green eyes seemed to glow in the moonlight.

"No, of course not. you've been recruited to my toy for the time being—but I do have plans for you." He spoke softly as he came up behind me with a smirk on his face.

He touched the hand that was covering the wound on my shoulder. I shivered and he raised my arm above my head and snickered.

"This will be very quick. I will not tolerate any other vampire's filthy mark on your skin. The King of PureBloods and his son wouldn't be pleased." He whispered in a low seductive tone. His fangs pierced the wound and I gasped clutching onto his arm.

A warm sensation spread throughout my body like wildfire. I squeezed my eyes shut and let myself be consumed by the darkness and allowed the warmth to wrap around my body, I was too exhausted to fight back.

"Ouch." I flinched when his fangs retracted from my skin. I opened my eyes and he stood in front of me smiling. A streak of blood ran down his chin, staining his delicate, pale skin.

"That was the best meal I've had in ages. Surprisingly I'm kind of glad I didn't kill you earlier, If I did I wouldn't have an oppurtunity to impress the clan leaders son. " He licked his lips and chuckled.

"Why didn't you kill me?" I asked with a frown. Some part of me already knew that I was going to become a hostage—Vampires are selfish.

He raised a brow and carefully dabbed my wound with a small piece of cloth.

"No human has ever been able to strike me. The fact that you were able to is shocking. I am one of the highest ranking vampires. I'm intrigued that a mere human was able to strike as fast as I moved." He whispered with a puzzled look.

I bit my lip and took a deep breath. His finger tips traced along my collar bone as his eyes slowly raised to meet mine, he gently tapped the birth mark above my breast and sighed.

"So what does that mean for me?" I asked biting my inner cheek.

"Well, it means you have potential to kill us—some of the strongest vampires that rule these clans even. Which means, you'd sell for a high price to the King of the PureBloods." His expression turned cold.

I shook my head and backed away from him.

"You can't sell me off. I'm human, no vampire wants a human." I gritted my teeth.

The sound of glass breaking sent me into a panic. The vampire grabbed me and ran with lightning speed. Everything we passed was a blur until we reached a small building.

"This is where you'll stay locked up until the annual human auction. I'll be here every single day for my meals. I hope you're prepared to surrender yourself to me." He growled with a wink.

I stared blankly at him, terrified of what he'd do to me, not that being a human blood bag wasn't the worst but there are many other things that he could do—like auction me off to the PureBloods kings son.

He chained me to a wall, cuffing my arms and legs in a clasp of cold metal.

The vampire gave me a satisfied smile before he vanished into thin air. I blinked away the tears that started to pool in my eyes.

I sighed, curled up in a ball and closed my eyes letting myself drift off to sleep.

Undoubtedly; a world full of pain and torture.
