After each and every day of abuse Stark would stay behind and wash me down with a cloth. We didn't talk much, he knew that they were going over board with the torture deal but continued anyway.
I sensed that they had a good reason for doing this to me. I was making it harder than it had to be but as days turned into weeks, I was basically a zombie; emotionless and dead. Although I wasn't dead on the outside, I was on the inside, broken beyond recognition. I wouldn't speak a word, couldn't shed any more tears or even plead for my life. At this point in my life I wished that they would just kill me.
"Do you think they'll still buy her?" Stark asked.
"Yes, just because she's like this doesn't mean they won't take her, she's exactly where the Prince wants her to be." Christian mumbled but there was a hint of uncertainty behind his words. I detected it quickly and stared at my legs in silence.
"I told you not to over do it. Letting her nearly bleed to death is over doing it." Stark hissed. It was my first time hearing him use that tone toward his brother.
"Well, what'd you want me to do? She wasn't learning, she wasn't willingly going to get handed over to the PureBlood Clan. I did what I had to do and I could care less about what you think about it." Christian argued back.
My heart throbbed while listening to them bicker back and forth. A lump lingered in my throat while I watched them, aware that things would just get worse if they continued.
"I'm ready..." I whispered, my voice cracked as my eyes pooled with tears.
Both Stark and Christian looked at me in shock.
"No, you're not." Christian stated.
"You both obviously need this trade to happen, I can tell just by listening to you—just know, I don't plan on staying with the PureBlood Clan." I stated.
"Then what do you plan on doing?" Stark asked.
"None of your business, you'll just continue to put me through all of this just so you can sell me off to that awful, selfish, filthy, Vampire." I spoke coincidentally.
"What makes you think I won't continue just for the hell of it?" Christian gripped my chin and forced me to look at him.
"Because if I were to act unacceptable in front of the Prince I can easily tell him that you did more than you had to." I stated.
Christian grinned and then glanced at Stark.
"This chick would make a bad ass Vampire," He chuckled, "but sadly she's an idiot."
"Says you." I mumbled.
Stark nearly choked from trying not to burst into a fit of laughter. Christian looked absolutely annoyed, like he could just smack his head against a wall.
"Fine, if you say that you're ready then I'll send word to the PureBlood Clan and have the leaders son come for another visit." Christian challenged.
"Do it." I insisted.
"Everything about you makes me furious, I get absolutely annoyed every time you speak." Christian sighed. Stark chuckled and put his hand on his brothers shoulder.
"Calm down, I'm sure she's not very pleased with how you are either." Stark announced.
"We're going to visit the PureBlood Clan, get her dressed so we can get there quickly."
Stark sighed and in a swift movement he was at my side with a peach coloured t-shirt in hand and a pair of jeans on his lap.
"This is all we had for such a skinny, young women." He cleared his throat. I gazed at him, his blue eyes seemed to pierce through me as he unchained my arms and legs. I had lost more weight than I thought, I was more focused on the pain inflicted than the hunger.
"How bad is he? I mean, like am I going to be abused?" I asked. My voice shook slightly from the fear I tried so hard to hide.
"Now you're asking such a thing? Of course he's bad, he loves to play with his slaves right before he kills them. He mostly just uses them for his own satisfaction, you'll definitely be drained of your blood the first night you're there." Christian chuckled.
"Go die in a hole." I mumbled. Stark smirked and glanced up at me. My heart jumped inside my chest as I took all of him in, his smile and his laugh, it made me feel oddly calm and happy.
"I really wish I could just kill you for him." Christian sighed and smacked Stark's shoulder for laughing.
"Sadly brother, you're just a big ball of frustration."
"Shut up."
Their back and forth comments were nice, they reminded me of my brother.
"Alright, lets get going." Stark pulled me to my feet and cleared his throat.
"Let the fun begin." Christian grabbed a handful of my hair and shoved me forward pushing me in the direction that we needed to be.
My heart raced painfully, from anxiety as we moved at my pace instead of their pace. Stark glanced at me from the corner of his eyes with a worried expression.
The look on his face showed worry and fear, as if he feared for what was about to happen. The slow travel was only worse for me—tears brimmed my eyes as my body stiffened with crippling anxiety.
There was absolutely no doubt in the back of my mind or heart—
I was going to die.
