The New Girl

Chapter 7

Avery's POV:

I have a feeling Kendall is falling for Carter. I can't let this happen! He may seem all sweet and caring in the beginning, but he's just going to break her heart, just like he did to me. Carter and I went out last year when I was a junior and he was a freshman. Yeah, I know, kind of awkward... But I really fell for him. Everyone told me not to go out with him, but of course I did anyways. 

We broke up at one of Carson's parties. Carter said he had to go to the bathroom.. Fifteen minutes later, I went to find him. As I walked up to the bathroom door, there was Carter with my 'best friend', Aislin. He tried explaining, but I didn't want to hear it. 

I really don't want Kendall to get hurt like I did. She may not be my blood sister, but I care for her just as much. 

Kendall's POV:

Carter's party is tonight, and I cannot wait! But  I have no idea what to wear....

"Hey Avery... Do you have an outfit I can wear for Carter's party tonight?" I asked sweetly. 

"Yeah.. Sure.. What do you want?" She asked back.

"I'm not sure yet.." I replied.

"Ummmmmmm.. Ok then... Me and you are gonna be matching tonight. " Avery replied with excitement.

"Should I be scared?" I asked back kind of worriedly. 

"I don't think so"  She replied back. "Let me find what I want you to wear tonight... It might take awhile" 

"Ok..." I replied hesitantly..

For the last hour, Avery still hasn't come out of her gigantic closet and I was started to get worried. Knowing Avery, she would want to dress insanely revealing when going to a party. But since I already have a lot of haters for hanging around with Carter, I don't wanna be known as the school slut. 

I have been listening to Conor Maynard covers for the last hour.. Just as I was going to check up on Avery, I got a text from Carter.

You ready for tonight? -Carter

Nope.. Not at all. Lol.. Don't get too excited now ;) -Kendall

Trust me, seeing you tonight, I am pretty happy :) - Carter

Are you flirting with me Mason? -Kendall

You wish Grey ;) -Carter

Haha.. In your dreams - Kendall

You know it babe. -Carter

Quit flirting!!!! - Kendall

Why??? I like flirting with you - Carter.

 Whatever. Lol.. See you at the party ;) - Kendall

Right as mine and Carter's conversation ended, Avery came out with a cute white corset top and tattered blue jean shorts.

"Oh my God... You look so cute!" I said to Avery.

"Good.." She said. "Because here's your outfit". she said while handing me the exact same jean shorts but with a black corset top.

"I cannot wear this!!" I nearly screamed of horror.

"Sure you can." Avery said back. "You have such a cute body, and a lot of guys at school like you.. You should give them a little something to look at". Avery said with a wink.

I was speechless! I cannot wear this.. Everyone will think I'm a slut! This cant be happening. 

"Just try it on." She said leaving the room. So I did.. And I gotta admit, I looked pretty damn good.

As we walked in Carter's house, it looked just like Carson's party. Except there was a way bigger dance floor... And by looking in the kitchen, there were a lot more drinks. 

"Hey Beautiful" someone said in my ear. I turned around to see Carter standing right behind me. I should have known.

"Beautiful? You've been complimenting me a lot Mason".  I yelled over the music. 

"Yeah. I guess I am." He said with a sexy smirk. Oh my god, did I just think that? I cannot fall for the school player. "But that's because you're very easy to compliment". He said.

I smiled back. "Hey, do you wanna dance?" He yelled over the music.

"Absolutley". I said back with a smirk on my face. "After a couple of drinks".

"Come on." He responded and starting leading me to the kitchen. Carter and I immediately downed a couple shots. I already felt the buzz. 

"Come on. Let's go dance". I told Carter. 

We went to the middle of the dance floor. I started dancing and Carter looked shocked.

"Whats up with you?" I asked.

"I never knew you could dance." He said back.

"East coast clubs teach you a lot". I said back. 

We started grinding on each other.. Yep, totally wasted. I wouldn't be grinding on him if I was sober. I was having so much fun! I haven't had this much fun since me and McKenna went to Karma in New Jersey. This was insane. There was at least 100 people on this dance floor right now. 

Carter started to lean in to kiss me... And of course I leaned in too... Next thing I knew, me and him were making out in the middle of the dance floor. I couldn't believe it! My conscious was telling me to pull away, but I was really falling for this guy.. Pulling away would be an instant regret. And this guy was an amazing kisser. 

"Kendall!!" I heard my name being yelled, but I didn't pull away. Well, not until Avery pulled us apart.

"Come on, we're leaving right now!" Avery yelled in my face.

"Why do we have to leave?" I asked back.

"Just come on." She said bluntly.

"Whatever." I said. "See you later Carter". I said with a smile.

"Bye Kendall." He said while giving me one last hug and a quick kiss on the cheek.

Why am I falling for the bad boy?
