Mallory's POV:

I walked down the the street thinking about Ashton. He hasn't texted, called, Skype, nothing! I was getting really worried because he said 'We start high school as friends, we will end high school as friends.' His words fluttered around my mind like lost butterflies.

I felt the tears starting to build up, but I need to hold them back! I could see Luke waiting on me. There he was. I plastered on a fake smile and quickly walked up to him.

"Hey!!" I squealed. His head snapped and a real smile was appearing on his face.

Gosh! That's how Ash used to smile when he saw me! Wait? What? You haven't lost him! Just hush, Mallory!

I guess my thoughts made my smile turn into a frown because Luke frowned too.

"What's wrong, Mallory?" He cooed.

"Oh, nothing." I quickly replied.

"No something's wrong. Mallory I know we haven't seen each other for long, but I'm a person you can tell me anything!" He said patting the space next to him and noticing that I was still standing.

I sat down slowly, and I could feel his glance. I looked into his light blue eyes and felt my face heat up.

"Is that a blush I see?" He teased and I hid my face in my hands.

I heard him chuckle, and his chuckle was cute! I smiled mentally at that thought then looked back at him.

"Are you hungry?" He asked. I nodded.

"Um," he started, "McDonalds?" He smiled sheepishly.

I giggled and nodded again.

"Okay!! Let's go! I'll pay!" He exclaimed.

"Uh, no your not!" I snapped back.

"Wanna bet?" He joked.

Luke talked and acted like we've know one another for a really long time!! He seems like a really cool guy, I just hope Ash doesn't take it too harsh if I told him that I like Luke. Wait? What did I just say?!?!
