Chapter Twenty-Four

We finished eating our lunch, and then we got ready to leave. We were going to go to the mall, even though we know there's going to be paparazzi and fans. The mall had the stuff that Dan is looking for.

Speaking of Dan, I wonder what I'm going to wear for the music video.

M: Hey Dan! I have a quick question!

D: What is it sweet cheeks?

M: What am I wearing for the music video?

It took him awhile to reply so I just enjoyed the ride with Luke. We talked about random things, then we'd laugh about them.

We finally got to the mall, and Dan finally texted back.

D: Stylist will pick that out. Oh, and you actually need to come in Friday so you can learn the dances. So wear something cool and comfortable. :)

I nodded at his response, and Luke took my hand. He looked at me then gave me the sign that paps were around. I rolled my eyes and kissed his lips and I heard like thousands of pictures being taken.

Luke walked me into the mall and we searched around. First, we found Hot Topic. I went in and bought a cool 5 Seconds of Summer hoodie, just because, I also got a cute black shirt and a regular white crop top.

We walked around some more and then I found a Rue 21. I went in and bought 3 red flannels, some white, black, and tan colored pumps.

When we got out of there, I started thinking, I think the boys should go back. I mean I'm fixing to have my own career as a singer and I'm not going to be home a lot, and they're missing the best part of their life.

"Mal? Everything okay?" Luke asked, jumping in front of me.

"Oh yeah, I guess." I frowned.

"Okay, really, what's wrong?!" He said. I looked around and saw the empty hallway to the bathroom. I stopped at the end and looked at him.

"Look, Luke, I think k you and the boys should go back on tour." I said, and he looked shocked.

"Why do you think that?" He asked.

"Well," I hesitated,"I'm starting my own career and I'm not going to be home a lot like your used to. Now, talk to the boys and if they want to, then go! You should be back for the baby's birth and if your not, I understand! You working. Your doing something for me and this baby!" I stopped as I started tearing up.

"I want us to be happy, but I feel like I'm doing a terrible job!" A tear escaped and he quickly wiped it.

"No, no!! Your doing great! But if you think I should go back, then I guess I will. And it will be just for you!" He said and hugged me.

I wrapped my arms around his torso and he kissed the top of my head.

We walked out of the mall and went home. The ride home was silent. I just thought about what I said, and I think I was right. I feel like in between we will be going our separate ways and we will be over with. I sure don't want that to happen!

He pulled into the driveway and he pulled our his phone.

"Louis! Hey! I got some good news!" I quickly got out of the car, and ran into my bedroom. I held onto a pillow and not worrying that I still have my heels on.

I cried and cried just thinking why I said that. I heard a knock at the door, and Luke walked in.

"Mal?" He sounded worried. "What's wrong?!" He ran over to me and hugged me.

"I-I want you t-to go, bu-but I also don't w-want you to go!" I cried, being thankful I didn't wear makeup today.

"Look, Mallory, you were right! We're doing this for our family and for that baby to have a good life ahead. This is the right thing to do." He said. He pulled away from the hug and kissed me. He pulled away and kisses my forehead.

"I love you, and duh, we're going to miss each other, but you know. In the long run, it will all be worth it, okay?" I nodded and the doorbell rang.

"COME IN!!" Luke yelled and got up. He pulled me out of the bed and I told him that I'll be out in a minute.

I laid there in the flour where he left me, and heard them cheering about going back on tour. I wiped my face and put on a fake smile. I got up and walked out and Ash was still on crutches, of course. I'm stupid.

I smiled and Luke told him that he was going to pack his things. I stared down at my feet, and opened my mouth to speak but Ash beat me to it.

"Look, Mallory," he paused,"I'm sorry. I don't want our friendship be messed up." I looked at him and hugged him he stumbled and his crutches hit the floor.

"I'll get them in a minute!" I laughed and so did he. I was glad to hear that little giggle of his.

We pulled away from the hug and I got his crutches off the floor. He thanked me and I waved him off.

"So how's your career going?" He asked.

"Good so far. I'm doing a music video for it this weekend. I'll tell you guys when it out and you can watch it while your on tour." I suggested, he smiled and nodded.

"Okay! Ready to go!" I hear Luke say behind me I didn't turn around, but I saw Ashton frown.

"Yep! Calum and Michael are going to meet us at the airport." Ash explained

"Come here you little butt!" Luke laughed and pulled me into a hug. I laughed at his silliness and hugged him tight back. I pulled away and placed a kiss on his lips.

"I knew it from the beginning!" Ashton laughed.

I walked them to the door, and waved as they pulled out of the driveway.

Now, I guess I can start focusing on me and my career.
