Chapter Twenty-Three

I kept on driving, and then I started growing hungry. I pulled over and texted Luke.

M: Hey I'm going to go and get something to eat, what do you want?

L: Some type of burger or chicken will be okay! Thank you babe :)

I smiled at the little added smiley face, and started driving again. I guess since I have to quit my Burger King job, I might just go there.

I pulled up to a parking space, and parked. I sat there for a second. I've started having a sick feeling...oh no..

I ran into the restraint and into the bathroom. Thankfully no one was in here!

When I was done puking my guts up, I made sure I didn't have anything on my face. I took a scoop of water a swished it around, and then spiting it out.

I walked back out and saw Ashley at the counter.

"Mallory! Oh my gosh! Where have you been? You've missed so many days!" I shushed her and she let me in the back. I went to the Tanya's, the manager, office.

I knocked on the door and she squealed.

"Oh, there she is!! Girl, where have you been!?" She joked.

I pulled up my shirt and it showed the tiny bump and she squealed even more.

"Oh my goodness!! My baby girl is growing up!" She said. I laughed and hugged her.

"I heard you were dating a pretty famous dude!" I nodded.

"Yeah, Luke. He's really sweet. But I've come here to tell you something." Her smile turned into a frown, and then I knew this wasn't going to end every well. I breathed out and got my words together.

"Well, Luke had an interview, and I went." I paused and she nodded. "And he made me get up and sing in front of like 100 people." I started to laugh, "well, I got a record deal with someone at SB Management." Her hands went over her 'o'ed shaped mouth and I smiled big with her.

"Are you serious!?" She said, I nodded and she squealed.

"So have you come to say that your quiting?" She said still smiling. I nodded.

"Well, I'm happy that your happy, but you got to invite me to that baby shower!!" She demanded but then laughed. I stood up and she hugged me.

"Oh, and I came to get food!" I laughed.

"Sell whatever you want its on the house!" She said.

"No! Tanya, I can't do that!" I replied and she waved me off.

"We don't get good enough money anyway, now tell Ashley what you want, tell her I said it's in the house, and go live your life with your family!" She said and patted my back. I smiled and we hugged.

When we hugged I forgot how shirt I was. With heels on we were now the same height. Dang, I hate being short.

I got my food pretty quick, and I started to head home. Man, Tanya is like a mother to me. I've told just about everything that has happened in my life, and she was always there for me. And almost everyone that worked there was like family to me. They were all so nice.

I smiled at my thoughts, and I pulled into my driveway. I think we need a new house before the baby is born. Maybe I'll put that on a list of things to do.

I walked to the door, unlocking it, and getting tackled by Luke Hemmings.

"I miss my Mallory!" He said. I hugged back and we pulled back and a place a small, quick kiss on his lips.

I sat the bag of food on the island in the kitchen.

"So, where did you go besides Burger King?" Luke asked.

"A management meeting." I replied and he nodded.

"What did he have to say?"

"He told me after the baby is born I have to wear crop tops and short skirts with heels," Luke raised his eyebrows and I chuckled a bit,"and I'm doing a music video this weekend, and my hair has to be dyed -"

"Woah! Woah! Dyed?" Luke clarified. I nodded.

"What color?" He said biting into his cheese burger.

"Red." He nodded.

"Good. I was think he was going to make you do some funked color or something!" He laughed and I smiled, shaking my head.

"Wanna go shopping? After we're done eating of course." I said and he nodded.

"That means quality time with you!" He said with his mouth full of food.

"Hey! Manners!" I smirked.

"Yes ma'am!" He fooled his eyes playfully and took another bite of his food. Oh, the life with Luke Hemmings.

Sorry for the short chapter, but what do you think? Mal getting a record deal...like woah! Didn't see it coming!! XD anyway hoping you guys are liking it, and I believe this will be a pretty long book. I don't know if there will be a sequel, but I don't know lol
