When Lythia got back outside, supper was already happening. Instead of taking her place next to newt, she pushed through everyone and sat next to Gally, which did cause some whispering from newts end.
'Where were you?' she whispered, sounding more desperate than she'd intended.
'I wanted to get you supper so you didn't miss any' he said, handing me a bowl of chicken. 'You said you were okay.. Why?' He asked, completely oblivious to the fact that anything could of happened.
'It doesn't matter' she mumbled. She looked past Gally, and three people away sat Zart. He looked at her back, blankly.
She returned her gaze to her chicken, beginning to eat it.

That night, she slept in the feild next to newt. She knew Zart slept in the homestead and wasnt willing to share a room with him.
Gally had asked if she wanted him to save a hammock for her, but that would mean Thomas wouldn't have one, and she was fine sleeping on the grass any way.
'Why'd you sit next to Gally today?' newt wiggled his eyebrows.
'It just seemed the easiest place to sit..' she replied.
'He saved food for you aswell. He's never done that. A lot of us have gone without food before' he told her, sleepiness in his voice.
'Hm.' Lythia didn't really have an answer to it.
'I think he's got a thing for you. He has to have' he grinned.'Shut up. No he doesn't. He just cares' I blushed. Not that she would mind Gally having a 'thing', and she was pretty sure she could develop one soon.
'Yeah well Gally never cares. I'd just say be careful. It's.. Not normal to see him being so nice to someone.'
'Thanks for the life tip.' She rolled her eyes in the darkness. It seemed pretty normal to her. Why was it so weird for someone to be kind? Kindess is something necessary in a place like that.
'Hey. I'm just looking out for you. As a friend in this place you're gonna thank me for it' he spoke. She looked down at the toys in her lap. Toys? 'We have to do it Johnny. Both of them.' A female voice spoke from another room. 'But they're our kids! Linda, we can't just give them away to some strangers. We don't even know their plans!' A male one replied.
She was in a cosy room, the fire crackling behind a guard, the TV on, playing some cartoons. The rug she sat on was grey and fluffy, in contrast to the white carpet.
'Don't be so stupid. We know they're gonna keep em safe. It's better than them becoming one of those things outside. Or even worse, being their damn dinner' she hissed. 'I can't believe you're just saying this so easily. You're just willing to give up our kids and flee without them? You really think we stand a chance?' The male replied. 'Easily?! It's took me a long time to decide on this Johnny. Don't you dare say that. No, we probably don't stand a chance. But I'd rather us die, and those two grow up together, safe. Away from all of this shit' she snapped.
A boy, around 6, with dark hair came into the room. He seemed to be crying. 'They're gonna give us away lythia' he whispered. 'What?'
Her voice was higher pitched than normal, and the word seemed slurred. She was a child. No older than 5. '
Don't worry. I'll keep you safe. Just cause mommy and daddy don't want us any more don't mean we don't want each other.' Such smart words for a young child, even if it wasn't literate. He hugged her, as they both heard the two voices arguing.
