The next morning I got up at 11:00. After finishing my normal morning routine I trudged out to the kitchen where Lizzy was making bacon and cheese omelettes. It smelled delicious!
    "G'morning sleepy head!" Lizzy teased.

I scratched my head. "Oh shush its my day off"

"True, anyways breakfast is served!" Lizzy presented.

The rest of the day was a blur, as was the rest of the week. It was around Sunday when I finally got a call. It was about 4:00 when i was on break at work.

Riiiiiinnngggg

    "Hello?" I answered.

"Hi, Katie Hart?" A familiar voice asked.

    "Yes?" I said.

"Hi, this is Jessica from Glass House, I work the desk on the 17th floor? I'm just calling to inform you that after your interview with Mr. Glass, he seemed very interested in hiring you, so I'd like to officially welcome you to your new job at Glass House!" She explained.

I couldn't believe it! "Wow, thank you so much! When do I start?" I asked.

"Mr. Glass has you scheduled to start next Monday, as he knows you still have one last week for your other job." Jessica informed.

    "Great! I can't wait!" I exclaimed.

    "Eager are we?" Jessica laughed.

"You have no idea... anyways, thanks again, I'll see you next Monday!" I grinned before hanging up. Holy..... shit.... I got the job!!!!

The first thing I did when I got home was told Liz. She was ecstatic! As was I. We decided to go out to eat to celebrate! I was all for not having to cook that night and letting professionals cook for me!

I was congratulated at work the next day as well by Jon and Anthony. Jon's congratulations seemed a bit forced though, but it was a congrats nonetheless. I happily stocked shelves for my shift until:

"Miss Hart?" Yet another familiar voice asked. Oh my god..... it couldn't be....

I turned and sure enough it was him. "Mr. Glass?!" I exerted.

He was walking over to me, in all his beautiful glory. He had quite an adorable smile on his face. Was he happy to see me or something?

"It's nice to see you here." He admitted.

"Well I do work here." I smirked.

"Not for long, in about a week you'll be working for me." He stated.

Somehow my brain managed to turn that dirty and I bit my lip. The pure thought of him "commanding me" sent a shiver down my spine.

Unfortunately my thoughts were interrupted by Jon walking up to me and Cameron.

"Katie, everything ok over here?" He asked.

"I uhhhh...." I trailed off, still recovering from my thoughts.

"Yes, everything's fine." Cameron answered nicely. Jon turned to him.

"No offense dude, but I was asking her." He replied with a slighty stubborn tone.

"And I answered for her, is that a problem?" Cameron asked giving Jon a hard look.

Jon turned to leave. "No, I guess it aint." He glared, walking away.

"No offense to any of your co-workers Miss Hart, but that boy really needs to work on his people skills." Cameron observed.

I smiled. "He normally isn't like that, I think he was just jealous because we were talking." I replied.

"Oh? Sounds like somebody has a crush on you Miss Hart." Cameron suggested.

"He does. I know he does. Honestly it kind of gets annoying sometimes, he's always asking me out and I always say no." I explained.

Cameron frowned a bit. "You'd think he would learn to take the hint."
"Nope, not Jon. Anyways getting off of him, is there anything that I can help you find?" I asked.

"Um no actually, I just saw you and felt it was appropriate to say hello." Cameron smiled before going back to his cart.

Smiling back I went back to stocking shelves, even though I couldn't help myself in spying on what he was buying. A whole chicken, a pack of potatoes, some spices. Probably what he's preparing to make for his girlfriend or something. What a lucky girl, if there is one.

"Do you mind ringing me up Miss Hart?" Cameron asked coming up to me.

I looked at him. "Katie. C-call me Katie. And no I dont mind." I said.

Cameron smiled and followed me to the check out line. I wrung up his items and he kept his eyes fixed on me as I did. I was surprised that I wasn't used to him doing that yet.

    "That'll be $54.97." I smiled.

Our hands touched when he handed me the money and I felt that same spark from his touch that I had felt in his office when he handed me the clipboard.

"Thank you Miss-, I mean thank you Katie." Cameron smirked.

"No problem, so whose all this food for? Is your girlfriend coming over for dinner?" I blurted.

Cameron's smile turned into a hard stare. "No I uh... don't do the whole girlfriend thing..." He admitted.

"What do you mean?" I asked confused.

"Im not a man that does romance Katie. I never have." Cameron stated.

    "But why?" I poked.

"Do I need a reason?" He spoke almost immediately.

Taken back by the sudden response I didn't say anything back, I just looked at the floor. Cameron noticed this reaction and sighed.

"Sorry. It's just a touchy subject for me." He frowned.

    "It's fine, I understand." I consoled.

Cameron smiled a bit now. "Well I should be going, I don't want to keep you from finishing your job. But here, I should've given you this at your interview, its my card. Thank you again Katie, I'll see you on Monday." He finished before walking out. That's when I noticed his pants. The way that they hung off his hips was very flattering.

I looked at the card and put his contact number into my phone.

Getting home that night I ate a small dinner by myself because Lizzy had been held late at the science facility. Jumping into bed I tossed and turned a bit to the thoughts of Cameron's words replaying in my head. What did he mean he didn't do romance? Did that mean he's never been with anybody? I didn't believe that thought for a second. It had to be something else. Maybe I would find out soon enough, I was working for the man now. Pondering the possible reasons for a little while longer I finally fell asleep.

I ended up having a dream about Cameron. At least I could have him there. His deep voice and dark eyes were too enticing for words. They did things to me that no man's eyes have done before. Was I going crazy?
