The dining room table was littered with food. Various breakfast foods to choose from at my fingertips. I chose blueberry pancakes with some bacon and sausage. Sipping some orange juice, I carefully observed Cameron across the table. He was having bacon and eggs with what looked to be hot chocolate. I took into account his current state.

His red hair was a bit messy and he had a pair of glasses on, along with basketball shorts and a t-shirt. He glanced up at me, probably sensing the feeling of eyes on him.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

"Good, better. Thank you." I replied.

"It's nothing really. As long as you're well." Cameron smiled a bit.

I blushed and smiled back. Flirting possibly?

"After you're done eating, would you like to join me for a run?" He asked now.

I looked back up at him. "A run? With you?" I stuttered.

"Some fresh air would be good for you, considering the night you had. Please, join me." Cameron insisted.

    "Ok. I will." I accepted.

"Good, you can borrow a pair of my sweatpants and a sweatshirt." He offered.

15 minutes later I was dressed in a gray pair of sweatpants and a gray sweatshirt. I will admit Mr. Glass' clothes looked kind of good on me, the pants especially around my butt. That's when Cameron walked in and I couldn't help but notice that his eyes trailed to my butt a little, pulling a little smirk from him.

    "Ready to go?" He asked.

    "Yeah... let's go." I replied.

We left the apartment and walked down the hall to the elevator. As we walked in Cameron spoke up.

"So if that guy from last night isnt your boyfriend, then who is? Is it the other guy? "

"Anthony? He's my boss, and yeah he's nice and all but he's been more like an older brother to me. Why?" I asked.

"Just curious, seeing as you questioned my romantic endeavors the other day." Cameron said. WHAT?

"I was just confused by what you meant when you said that you didn't do romance." I poked.

"....I just have a different view on the subject. Most people believe that it's all about the love that they feel." He explained.

"Then what DO you think it's about?" I questioned.

    "Intimacy." Cameron answered.

    "That's it?" I asked.

"No. I...just......you wouldn't understand." Cameron stuttered.

We reached the front doors of the building and walked outside. We started jogging towards the local park. For awhile we jogged in silence but it didn't take a genius to figure out that both of our minds were racing.

Cameron's breathing started to get heavier and I couldn't help but think about hearing that breathing in a different scenario. One that involved him hovering over me, with both of us wearing less clothing.....

I had to wipe that scene from my mind to keep myself from getting too hot and bothered, seeing as I was already sweating. I had to switch gears and try to start another conversation.

"So tell me, what was the reason that made you decide to hire me?" I asked.

"I liked your answer about getting things done quickly but precisely. That's always been an element I look for in a good employee. Plus I can see that you weren't lying about it now that I've seen you in action at your old job. Why do you ask?" Cameron replied.

"It's just that I thought my interview kind of.....sucked. I feel like I wasn't my true self when talking with you that day." I blurted.

"And why is that Katie?" He urged.

    "Because you're intimidating." I retorted.

    "Good." Cameron answered.

    "Good?" I wondered.

"When you're someone like me fighting to keep a top position in this town, it's always good to be a very intimidating person. Remember that as you work for me." He stated. Holy hell was this man for real?

We jogged past the park and up the street of mine and Lizzy's apartment. Lizzy.... LIZZY OH MY GOD! She'd be worried sick!

I turned my jog into a run as I made a beeline for the apartment building, Cameron surprisingly followed me in, saying something that I didn't even bother to stop and listen to. Running past the elevator I ran up a full 4 flights of stairs to make it to our floor. Bursting through the door to the apartment I stopped and hunched over, completely out of breath.

Lizzy came darting down the hallway in a bathrobe, her eyes wide.

"Katie oh my god! Are you ok? Why are you so out of breath?" She was demanding.

What? She's not concerned about where I was? "I thought you'd be wondering where I was?" I gasped still catching my breath.

"I knew where you were, you were with Mr. Glass, he took you to his house last night and you spent the night there. His brother Ethan told me what happened and brought me home." Lizzy explained.

"Oh....." I trailed off looking at the floor, just a little embarrassed.

Cameron entered the room now. "I tried to tell you that but you were a staircase ahead of me." He joked.

Now I was really embarrassed. "I need a glass of water." I said walking towards the kitchen.

"Well I should go, I have things to do today still. I'll see you tomorrow Ms. Hart." Cameron smiled at me. He nodded a goodbye to Lizzy and then walked out. Lizzy closed the door behind him.

"Ok, so I would just like to point out how lucky of a girl you really are!" Lizzy exclaimed.

I raised my eyebrows at her. "How lucky am I?"

"You've got probably the most powerful man in the city as a boss, he's super hot and falling for you!" Lizzy cheered.

"Didn't we have this conversation the other day?" I teased, sipping some water.

"Yeah but now I got to see it for real! That smile he gave you was worth millions!" She smiled.

I gave in to Lizzy's little girl talk session and spilled the beans. "You should've seen the smirk he made when he first saw me wearing these pants, which are his by the way."

"I bet! No guy can resist your ass!" Lizzy laughed.

"I guess, but that's not all. He was also asking me all these questions regarding Jon and Anthony. Like if I was dating either of them and if I had a boyfriend in general." I explained.

"He's hungry for info, so does he have a girlfriend?" Liz asked.

I sighed now. "That's the weird part, he says he doesn't do the whole 'girlfriend thing' and he 'doesn't do romance'." I said making air quotes with my fingers.

"Whatever the hell that means. I still think he's into you!" Lizzy smirked, crossing her arms.

"Yeah maybe, I'll tell you something Liz, the man is a mystery." I sighed.

"Tell me about it." She agreed.

That night I layed awake in bed. I had to admit that I was more than a bit nervous for my first day of work in the morning. Especially when my boss was powerful, intimidating, and so goddamn attractive. Eventually I was going to have to get over him, there was no chance of him wanting to get with an employee. My job was to work under him, not sleep under him.

I decided on music to help me fall asleep. I finally did drift off to a mellow song that was accompanied by sweet dreams. Sometime in my dreamworld my brain had built up it's own courage. It kept shoving one piece of advice into my head.

Whatever Cameron Glass dishes up for me tomorrow; I will be ready.
