Under the cover of the desert night, with nothing but the moonlight to reveal him, a figure darted across the sands. He ran through what seemed like empty desert until he suddenly stopped at a large sand dune, where stone steps lead downward. In the depths of the old tomb, the man was greeted by several others. "I'm here to report to our savior." The others nodded and led him deeper, taking him to a large room. They left him alone with the cloak man who sat at on a stone slab, writing something on a piece of papyrus. The man knelt before the slab.

"What are your findings, Hakah?" The man looked up.

"The patrols have been focused on the South side, my lord." Aknerah calmly replied.

"Have they now? Well, that certainly is a surprise. I thought it would take the pharaoh much longer."

"They say it's not him giving the orders." Aknerah raised an intrigued eyebrow.

"Oh? Who is then?"

"We don't know her name, but apparently a woman is guarding him. Rumor has it she's a goddess in human form." The cloaked man smirked dryly.

"A goddess, hm? Well, it seems like the gods aren't on my side..." He set the brush down, allowing the ink to dry. Hakah nodded.

"Yes, my lord. Apparently, she's the one who's been catching all the assassins you sent." Aknerah hummed, twirling the brush lazily in his hand.

"I see... I shall have to try a different approach." Hakah looked at him, curiousl.

"And what would that be, my liege?" Aknerah grinned.

"We're changing our target."

"But I thought we need the pharaoh dead?"

"We do, but first we must take out his ward."

"But if she really is a god-"

"A god in human form. In order to protect him, she had to give up certain aspects. True, her soul is immortal, but her vessel to inhabit this world is not." Aknerah rolled up the papyrus and held it out. "Tell the others of our new objective and have this delivered to the palace." Hakah took it as he stood.

"What is this, if you don't mind me asking?" The leader grinned wolfishly.

"A commination."

Y/n decided to treat herself that morning. After a particularly delicious breakfast, she enjoyed a relaxing bath and magical massage. She swore the masseuse was a magician, however when she voiced her thought, the young woman only giggled. As the heavenly scented oils were rubbed into her skin, Y/n closed her eyes and relished in the wonderful feeling. However, her heaven was quickly destroyed when Heba came running in. "Your greatness," he breathless said, gasping for air as he had ran all the way. "I greatly apologize, but you are needed in the meeting room. It's urgent!" Y/n sat up, ignoring her naked state.

"What happened?" she demanded as the servant quickly helped her get dressed.

"A horse just arrived at the palace. There's a dead civilian on it's back with a note to the pharaoh on the arrow that killed him. It's a death threat." Y/n's eyes flashed and without another word, she hurried to the meeting room, Heba quickly tailing behind. The doors flew open, hitting the walls with an echoing bang. Atem along with all palace officials turned to see her enter, her steps firm and her face serious.

"Where's the note?" she asked. Set stepped forward and handed it to her. She unrolled it, her eyes quickly scanning the glyphs.

'Pharoah, I see you have managed to evade death on several accounts, three if my memory is correct. For that, I applaud you. I would also commemorate you on narrowing your search party so quickly, that is if it was your doing. It has come to my attention you have the gods on your side, one of them particularly close. I always do love a good challenge. A war is on the horizon, my dear king. Your final hours are slipping by. Enjoy the spoils of life while you still have it. In the war of all wars, may the true king win.'
