My paws were sore from all of the tracking, however I was doing better than the complaining idiots behind me.

"Are we there yet?" I mentally screamed at Phil to shut up as I couldn't talk to him. Lily was too focused on tracking down Alex to shout at Dylan. The same rule applied to Phillip.

"I thought you were supposed to have a good sense of smell! We've been walking for hours!" Phillip complained, kicking a stone. I heard it roll a few metres away to my left. The leaves stopped rustling as the rock came to a halt. However, a defensive growl escaped my lips when a twig snapped. I sniffed the air and tensed. Rogues.

We were in no man's land between two pack's territories. I had been careful to avoid confrontation during our five days of travel, although everything was beginning to take a turn for the worst. Lily was on edge. They are not getting anywhere near Phillip and Phil.

Scanning the forest, I caught the scent of several wolves. They were all lower ranking, mainly omegas. If I was in my pack, I would be the Alpha or Beta. The rules stated that I was the one in charge, however these aren't normal wolves. These were filthy outcasts.

Lily snapped her jaws at the bushes. A sand coloured wolf rushed out of the bush and joined another wolf, which was black. I snarled at them both. Meanwhile, Phil was scared senseless and Phillip was hissing at a few wolves behind me. They had encircled us, so we were trapped. The cowards. Five v.s three isn't a fair fight, but they were rogues so I'll forgive them. By ripping one of their hind legs off. Calm down Lily, we have two other people to think about now. Correction three. I miss my mate. I let out a whine at the thought of Damon. It had Bern a while day since I last saw him.

"Well, well, well...what do we have here boys? Seems packs these days are getting smaller and more mixed." Their leader taunted, he was the same size as my wolf. His wolf was a dark brown. I snarled at him, making him flinch. He quickly composed himself and returned my gesture with an aggressive growl.

"You take two and I'll take these three," Phillip told me through our mind link. My wolf nodded. Lily was going to cause carnage. With a mighty bark, I charged forward at the leader. He was taken by surprise and didn't see the claw aimed at his face. Meanwhile Phillip had snapped another wolves neck. I heard bones crunch as I turned my head to bite down on a wolf's hind leg. It yelped, but this only excited Lily. She shook her head and got a better grip on his leg.

Without warning, we were tackled to the ground by the leader. I whipped my head round and sunk my teeth into his snout. He whimpered and jumped back away from my fangs. I stood up and lunged forward, but he side stepped me and clung into the fur on the back of my neck. Growling, I used my paws to push him away.

"Back down now or I'll do more than make you bleed!" Lily threatened, taking this seriously. Phillip had finished decapitating all of the wolves. The leader whimpered and made a dash for freedom, however Phillip should manage to hunt him down with his vampire speed.

"I didn't know rogues were so weak. Aren't they supposed to be...you know, ruthless?" Phil asked me, seeming unfazed by the rogue attack. I shook my head. He had much to learn about the werewolf community and culture.

"We're almost there Phillip, tell Damon to meet us. I need my mate badly!" Lily added the final statement, although I missed him too. Our hunt for Alex was almost over.

"Aarrgghhh!" I cried out, pulling against the chain around my both of my ankles. My hands were handcuffed. She didn't want to take any chances after Tyler nearly strangled the evil bitch.
