Alex's p.o.v
"What are you doing? Get off of her!" I yelled at the vampire, who was slurping Lucy dry. The guards were holding me back as Phil kept covering his ears when she cried out in pain. It must be unbearable. How can the birds stand here and listen to this? I wanted to kill this man for torturing my family. Did we just admit that she was family? I think we did Tyler.
The screaming wouldn't end. It made me want to curl up and cry. My heart ached as this torture continued, until the bloodsucker pulled away with his face literally blood red. He wiped it off with his sleeve, but a red stain remained around his mouth.
"That mercury tastes disgusting!" He complained, looking like he was going to vomit.
Lucy snarled at him as she was released from the guard's hold. She growled at them, until they took the hint and left the room, which left me, Phil, Lucy and Phillip. My face paled when I saw the blood on the floor. Clumps of silver were laying on the ground as well. Why did her blood have silver in it? Weird. Liquid silver or mercury stops werewolves from healing. They naturally have a faster and better immune system, which allows them to heal super quick. A cut would heal within nanoseconds for a werewolf. The lucky sods. I take it you're not a fan of werewolves? One nearly mauled me to death when I was in my teens. Shot the twat in the heart. Good for you buddy! Thanks it was my first bullseye.
I glanced over at Phil. Phillip was talking in hushed tones to Lucy. I don't know why, but he seemed almost fascinated with this vampire. Ever since we had entered the room he hadn't torn his gaze away from him. I waved my hand in front of his face, which earned me a slap on the arm. He frowned, then continued observing the scene before us. Lucy looked up and gave us a shaky wave. I smiled and took that as an invitation to join the conversation. Phil however, didn't respond to the gesture. Instead he looked like a statue. His eyes were glued on Phillip. I felt anger build up inside me. What's happening Tyler? I don't know. Look at Phillip.
Staring at the Victorian man, I noticed that he too was frozen to the spot looking at Phil. What the fuck was going on here? Why were they staring at each other like that? It was starting to creep me out.
"Phil snap out of it!" I shouted as I snapped my fingers in his face. He shook his head and glared at me. My jaw dropped as I glanced from Phil back to Phillip.
"Can someone please tell me what's going on?" Phil asked, looking confused. Everyone was surprised that this particular question was coming from Phil, but if he hadn't of asked then I would have sooner or later. Lucy exchanged a nervous look with Phillip.
"Phil I think you might want to sit down." Lucy whispered, giving me the look. Now the look was what Lucy gave me when something bad or serious was about to happen, therefore this can't be good news.
"Phillip has a gift. When he looked at you he put you in a trance. This trance allowed him to see something." Lucy explained, giving Phil time to process this new information. I was trying to make sense of it all as well.
"You're going to have to make a decision Phil. This decision will be a matter of life or death. I can't see what it will be, but I can see the pain it will cause you no matter what path you choose." Phillip said in his sophisticated tone. I didn't know how to react. Was he being serious? How did he know this was going to happen? When was it going to occur was the next question?
"Ok now we've heard what Mr. Glitterball has to say, can we focus on the main problem here please!" I said, making everyone think about Damon's disappearance. Lucy started to sob having read my mind. She was really nosy. Phillip wrapped his arms around her in an attempt to comfort the heart broken mate. Her wolf was quiet, which was strange. Mate separation. They can't talk until Damon is near. As he is in the unknown they will be waiting a while.
