Two days had passed since Lily had originally told me about my "gifts", if that's what you could call them. Each day the same scene would play out. Cold water waking me up and endless hours of torture leading to my same answer every time, "No".
Lily was growing more and more restless and violent with each day. Every inch of me was cut or hurt in someway. My clothes were shredded and blood soaked. I wish I still had the knife Dean had given me, to bad she was in possession of that...
My eyes were closed half asleep like they had been every day I'd been here. I heard the metal door open in the shadows. I snapped my eyes open to see Lily enter with Lewis and Allen carrying a giant pot between them, steam rising from the top. My stomach dropped and I felt my heartbeat quicken. The desperation was making her creative. Lily smiled at me, her black eyes shining in the dim light.
"So Rachel," she began,"Are you ready to jump on board? Or do you need more persuasion?" Her sickening sweet voice purred. I looked at her menacingly with my green-hazel eyes, giving her a silent response.
I was weak, very weak, not only from the torture but from the lack of nourishment. Honestly, I should be dead. I ate something solid for the first time in almost two weeks ,yesterday, considering I was in a small coma for the first one. Lily had done her usual tormenting then gave me a stale roll. As I was trying to eat it, she took the opportunity and sprayed window cleaner into all of my open cuts. Window cleaner of all things! They burned for hours after, but at least I had gotten something to eat. As far as water goes, well I had been able to get some of that with my morning wake up call.
"Fine," Lily replied, "Persuasion it is! Oh and you're going to enjoy this one!" She said coming up to me. "But first," Lily reached down and grabbed my hand and pulled out a pair of pliers out of her back pocket. My eyes grew wide and I clenched my fists, but her demonic strength straightened them back out. She took the pliers and pulled out each of my fingernails on both hands. I fought down the screams that were bursting from my lungs. She smiled at my struggle. My lungs burned with the cries of agony. My throat sore from the strain. My body couldn't take this much longer.
When Lily was done she looked at me with a tilt of her head, "How about now?" I shot her a looked of hatred but didn't speak, sobs of rage leaving me hiccuping for air, blood trickling down my finger tips. She furrowed her brow and gave a sigh.
"You are as stubborn as hell,"she said turning to the table again. She picked up a long hunting knife, examining it carefully. She looked over at me and smiled cruelly, twirling like a little girl, she danced back over to me. "This might hurt a smig." she told me before putting the knife through my knee. This time the scream couldn't be held back. I gasped at the immense amount of pain. Black spots swirled before my eyes and I felt myself dropping off from consciousness.
Lily lifted my chin up, "Tut, tut, Princess. Don't you go passing out on me just yet." I was trembling.
Lily stood up again leaving the knife in my knee, and walked over to the pot. Removing the lid, a cloud of steam billowed into the air. "Nice and scolding! Perfect!" she chimed. I struggled feebly in my chair and she laughed at my efforts mockingly. She picked up a ladle from the table filling it with the water inside. I was still trying to fight the ropes, turning every which way, knowing that I still wouldn't get out. Lily stood in front of me and I stopped. No point in fighting it... I closed me eyes and prepared myself for it.
The scalding water that hit the sensitive skin of my inner arm was like acid. My eyes shot open and I locked my jaw to try to stop from crying. I felt Lily smiling down at me watching my face contort with pain. I felt the blisters from the water rise up on my skin. Some burst as soon as they formed, others continued to grow. My body shook more and more with each ladle of water. Moans seeping from my mouth like the steam from the pot.
