Aly's pov

Stretch. Routine. Chat. Stretch. Routine. Chat. The normal cycle of a gymnastics practice. My favorite gymnastic people include the following; Ari, Hannah/Naomi, and Jillian. Ari is one of the only guys on the team, but was totally and completely the most fun person on the team as well. Hannah/Naomi has previously been explained, but here she is crazy flirtatious, and it is really funny. Jillian seems to the quietest, sweetest person ever, she doesn't talk much to other people, but with us she never shuts up. Which I appreciate.

"Hey there's your bro and bestie." Ari said, sarcastically, "What do they want, money?"

"Probably." I said. For some reason Ari does not like my brother. He's pretty good friends with Alex, though.

"Hey! Where's Munch?" I said. They were almost always together. When they weren't, it was like a rare sighting of a dog without a collar, or a teenage girl without a phone.

"Um.. well... he uh didn't want to come." Tuck started.

"He was busy, and we wanted to watch you practice." Alex said quickly, recovering Tuck's blunder, but not without me noticing.

"Oh?"I asked, noticing the silent, heated argument between the two boys. I could almost hear them.

You promised!

Not now, her friends are here!

Yeah, watching us like hawks, say something!

Like what? You say something to Hannah/Naomi! That'll distract them, then I'll do it!

Or something like that. All I know is that Alex promised to do something that had to do with me. Uh oh.

"Well?" I said, "You finished? We do have a practice to get to, so if you don't mind..."

We all turned to leave, and Jillian was trudging her feet and sighing dejectedly.

"What up, Jilly?" I whispered to her.

"Munch." She said simply. Oh. My. French fries.

"Wait, you like MUNCH?!" I said, verifying my ears weren't dead or anything.

"YES! OK? yes." Then she got quiet again.

"OMG!! My new OTP!!" I was jumping up an down, in a total, complete, and utter geek heaven.

"Uh, Aly?" Ari questioned. I proceeded to explain, which led him to screaming and jumping up and down. And that one thing led to another, and Hannah/Naomi flipped as well. Then she left to flirt with Tuck.

"Ah Hannah." I said. Everyone of my close gymnastical friends knew about the Hannah/Nicole experiment, and were nodding. She was having fun. That was what mattered.

"Aly?" I looked around to locate the voice. There he was, Alex. I gave a look to my friends, they left.

"What's up?" I asked, blushing a little, but don't tell anyone I wrote that!

"Uh." He took a breath. Then he lost courage, "Never mind." What an idiot. I walked back to my friends, and they laughed at him. I looked over at the bleachers, he was bright red, and it seemed that Tuck wasn't happy with him.

"NAOMI!" I shouted, she skipped over to us.

"Hi." She said, rocking on her toes, "Guess what I just heard?" And not pausing to give us a  chance to let her know we didn't care, she continued. "K, so Alex was all like flustered or whatever, and Tuck was like, 'come on man, why didn't you ask her out?' and then he was like, 'I'm leaving Saturday morning, so what's the point?' like OMG! Alex is totally crushing on you!" Hannah/Naomi finished with a little Naomi flourish, a squeal.

"Wait. Alex is leaving on Saturday?!" Two realizations hit me at the same time; one, Alex was moving away, even if we did save the neighborhood, and two, he didn't tell me.
