The road was empty except for four young teenagers on bikes, the echoes of their laughter could be heard for miles.

Munch's pov

The only thing that would make this night better is Jillian.

"Hey, Munch!" Aly was pestering me again. I am the only one who doesn't ever pick on her, and she thinks she can say whatever she wants to me. Ugh. Well she is one of my best friends, she wouldn't be a real friend if she didn't annoy me at least a little.

"What?" I asked her. She had to want something from me. She doesn't ever not want something. An answer, a listener, a secret keeper. She had this philosophy that only her closest friends couldn't know about her secrets, you know the ones that can hurt. Like her foster parents, or her dangerous history with with glass, and her alchoholic aunt who wouldn't take care of her when her parents abandoned her. She entrusts those with me.

"Whatcha' thinkin' 'bout?" She singsonged. In return I told her the secrets I kept. None quite as painful as hers, but crushes, and the deep dark thoughts I thought when life was hard.

"Jillian." I said. It was futile to even try to lie to her. Nobody knew, but she could detect lies like a magnet.

"YAS!" She exclaimed, then accidentally swerved on her bike, then yelped. Got back on track and resumed her normal fangirling, "OTP!!! Can I call her?" What?! Call her?!

"Are you kidding me?! No you can't call her!" Too late.

"What's goin' on?" Alex asked curiously. He rode over next to Aly, oh boy.

"Nada!" Aly yelped, "Yes, is this Jillian? Awes! So I was wondering..." Then I tuned out, I couldn't listen to this.

Aly's pov

"Yeah? You want to talk to him? Yeah uhh...? He's kind of busy, sorry. I would love to! I'll see you around then. Love you, kisses!" I ended the call with Jillian as we reached our destination.

"The map leads here." Alex stated.

"Uhuh." I said. We had come to one of those huge telephone line thingys.

"Do you think it's this thing?" Tuck said.

"Nah." Alex said as his phone blacked out again.

"What was that?" Munch's voice quavered before he regained his composure.

"Oh my french fries!" I exclaimed and we ran over to the thing. My flashlight beam had shined on it, and it reflected, this must be what we were looking for!
