Chapter 5: (Daisy's/Charlie's POV)
I had text him back and saved his number into my phone as I had a feeling he wouldn't let me forget him. It was the next day anyway and waking up to a room with one wall as a window overlooking the city, I got out of bed and admire the view as I scanned through my thoughts.
"My darling, are you awake?" my mother asked as she knocked on the door before she came in.
"Come in" I said loud enough for her to hear me. She came in all dressed up in a strapless jump-suit that had flared 3/4 trouser bottoms attached to it, her jet black strapped heels and her hair curled made the extra touch to how pretty she looked.
"Are you alright?" she asked as she must be wondering why I was gazing out of the window.
"Yes, thanks. Just admiring the view" I stated as she stepped closer into the room.
"You look nice, are you off somewhere?" I asked referring to her outfit.
"This old thing? I only wore it to the bank to add an account on our last one's" she explained as she walked towards me to join me in looking at the view.
"Oh okay" I said as we both turned to the window. My phone started to ring and as I walked over to see who it was, I saw it was Daniel and I decided on ignoring it as my mother was in the room.
"Who is it?" she asked turning away from the view to look at me.
"Just an old friend, I'll call them back later" I said hoping she would just drop the subject.
"I did warn you about making friends my dear" she commented walking towards the door.
"I know but I can't be alone forever, I have to make some sort of communication with the outside world" I replied frustrated with the situation entirely.
"I understand but you have to be careful with the company you keep" she said as she opened the door
"Okay well I am trying" I said hoping to finish this conversation. She lent on the door as I walked over to my suitcase to put it on my bed.
"You can always talk to me" she said growing concern.
"I always will" I replied back with the same serenity as she gave me but she left the room closing the door behind herself. I decided on getting changed into an old classic outfit of mine and as it looked freezing outside, I decided on wearing my short skinny navy peg trousers with my cream cashmere sweater and my cream and navy piped trench coat with some navy doc marten shoes. I grabbed my cream Cambridge backpack on my way out throwing in my phone ,my identity and my purse. I walked through the living area and saw mother with doctor talking.
She did this every year with the same doctor and before him it was his father and so on. Before the accident, she was extremely ill and the accident triggered something making her better, but as the paranoia sunk into her life, so did the regular visits to the doctor. I walked past them completely ignoring them to give them some privacy as i headed straight into the elevator. As i got in, my phone started to buzz. I saw that it was Dan so i answered it:
"Hello?" I asked to see if he accidentally called me.
"Hey" He said enthusiastically as the elevator doors closed

As i walked into the bar area of the restaurant and was stunned to see it full of people in the mid day. And when my eyes fell onto his, gleaming and full of hope, i walked over to him smiling. I could see that the nerves were written over his face but for some reason i felt the same, the feeling of butterflies came to me making me once again blush.
"Hey" he said putting his beer bottle down on the side to greet me.
"Hello" I replied as i sat myself on the stool putting my bag in front of the bar and my feet.
"How are you?" he asked a he noticed me fidgeting not only because of my irregular nerves but because i was trying to get comfortable.
"Pleasantly surprised" i commented before i looked up to see his face. He was grinning like a Cheshire cat and i couldn't help but do the same.
"Me too" he said before he took a sip of his beer.
"How so?" i asked wondering what his excuse would be.
"To be honest, i thought you wouldn't come" He explained looking away.
"I did think about it, but then i thought about quitting thinking and so i did that instead" I said before a bartender can up to us.
"Can i get you two anything?" he asked his deep american accent flourishing through his nice guy look.
"I'll have a rose please" i said as i got out my purse from my bag. And before i could open it, Dan had handed the bartender a dollar bill.
"You didn't have to do that" I said to him
"I did" He commented smiling as i put away my purse. Once i was sorted with my bag, i saw the glass was next to me and he was bemused by something.
"What's wrong?" I asked taking the glass and a sip.
"How can you quit thinking?" he asked interested.
"Well it's simply really. I think that if something feels right, which by me meeting you did meant that it probably was so i was to just go with it. So i did" I explained and even though i knew that it didn't answer his question, i decided on leaving him on his toes.
"So you decided on not following your morals?" he asked not understanding what i was talking about.
"Yes" i replied. We both looked at our glasses in silence until i broke it by laughing a little which he then joined in on.
