She ran across the muddy grass, the dirt giving her jeans a dark brown coating. Eddie was down there. With KT.

It was obvious that the new girl had feelings for him. What if she was too late? She was pretty sure Eddie knew how KT felt about him. She'd tried her hardest to make it seem like she was over him but now she regretted it all.

If only Eddie knew she still liked him maybe he would talk to her before dating KT. She couldn't imagine having to find out from KT that she's dating her ex-boyfriend.

She tried the key in the door, the one she had just stolen from Victors office. It didn't budge.

This is when she started to get worried. Her ex-boyfriend, who she was now sure she loved, was stuck down there with KT, a girl who had made it obvious just how much she liked him. KT could do just about anything and Patricia would be none the wiser.

Jealousy. That was all she felt. She rattled the door and heard a slight murmur from the other side. She would recognise it anywhere. It was the same as every morning in America. "Weasel, it won't open," she whispered as loud as she could.

He could hear her voice. He smiled as his dream kept getting better. "Weasel, it won't open," she said. She was calling him weasel. His heart pounded until he realised this made no sense in the context of his dream. He opened an eye and heard another knock. This wasn't a dream. She was outside.

He jumped up. "Two secs Yacker, need to take the chains off the door." She laughed slightly. Of course they would chain the door. She gave it a slight tap and it opened right up.

They looked at each other for a second before he wrapped her in a warm embrace. "I've never been so glad to see you before," he smiled. "Well thanks weasel, nice to-" but she was cut off my the shock that went through her.

KT was sitting in the corner with his jacket wrapped around her shoulders. Patricia looked up at him. He was confused. Did he find no wrong in giving a girl his jacket then telling his ex-girlfriend he'd never been so happy to see her?

He followed Patricia's line of sight. KT was wearing his jacket. "Yacker, swear I never gave her my jacket, you know I wouldn't give anyone my jacket," he pleaded and Patricia just shrugged her shoulders. KT stirred slightly in her sleep and Patricia kicked her foot lightly to wake her up.

She opened her eyes to see Eddie with a very confused looking Patricia. She smirked. Patricia thought Eddie gave her the jacket.

"Why do you have my jacket?" Eddie questioned bluntly. "I got cold and thought its be fine after what happened last night," she smiled innocently. Patricia looked at Eddie looking for an answer. At this Fabian woke up. He looked at Patricia then Eddie then KT. He looked very confused when he saw KT in Eddie's jacket.

He took Patricia's hand and pulled her away. "Yacker, I swear on mothers life I didn't give her the jacket," he pleaded, looking at her hopefully. She smiled. "I know you better than I know anyone and I know you wouldn't ever dream of giving someone your jacket, not even someone you love like your mum. She just wants us to fight," she laughed. He looked at her. He wanted to kiss her but decided against it.

"Do you mind?" Eddie asked KT and she handed back his jacket looking rather confused on why he and Patricia were so comfortably close. She didn't even understand why Eddie still liked that girl. She broke up with him, I mean god. He slid his jacket over his arm and walked back to the door of the crypt. He held it open for Patricia before following her out with Fabian closely behind and KT moping at the back.

"Thanks for saving us," he smiled. She couldn't bear the thought of not getting him out in time. "Well I couldn't just leave you down there now could I weasel?" she smirked and he laughed. "I think this is the most civilised conversation we'd had since we got back to the school," he offered and she thought for a moment before nodded her head in agreement.

They looked at each other and smiled. It was the sort of smile that held all their emotions in it. She took his hand.

This was enough to tell him she liked him. They never did the whole kissing in the rain type thing so this was a lot. Usually he wasn't all for the coupley stuff but seeing her there maybe changed his view on them. He squeezed her hand slightly and her head fell into his shoulders as they walked home, surrounded by a comfortable silence.

Just as they were about to approach the proper path he released his grip in her hand and slid his jacket over her shoulders. "Eddie, are you feeling okay?" she asked at the realisation of what he had just done. "Yeah you looked pretty cold," he shrugged as if it was no big deal.

This was the moment that she realised he still loved her and the moment she decided to make her love for him clear.
