CHAPTER ONE
I rushed out of my classroom unwilling to hear anything else. I walked into the girls restroom because I knew Tyler would never come in.
I was wrong.
Tyler walked in and I could see a hurt look on his face. I ignored it and rolled my eyes.
"What are you doing in here Tyler, if you can't see, this is the GIRLS bathroom."
"Teresa we need to talk", he said taking a step forward.
I took a step back. "What do you want to talk about now?" I asked sighing.
" About us" he said.
" There is no us" I said almost yelling, " We ended a long time ago and now I'm going to get married in a week, you have to respect that, now I ask you to please get out." My voice was starting to get shaky from the tears I was holding back.
"Teresa I was drunk and I thought it was you", he said raising his voice.
"You have told me this a million times and I already said I don't care!" I said, this time I was yelling.
"And I will repeat it a million more times until you believe me ", he said getting close to me again.
"Even if I believed you it wouldn't make a difference, I am still marrying Max, and that's not going to change". With that I walked around him and walked right out the door.
I kept walking I until I made it to my locker and started putting my books and things in my backpack. It was the last day of my senior year and tomorrow was my graduation. Then in a week I would be getting married to Max. This had been one of the most stress full months ever! But I had finally made it.
As I finished putting everything away, someone grabbed me from behind and covered my eyes.
"Guess who?" they said.
I recognized the voice immediately. I turned around and pulled him into a kiss. It was Max."Max!"I said hugging him.
"Hey, are you ready to go?" he asked leaning on the other lockers and giving me one of his breath taking smiles.
"Yes I am! I just want to say bye to Kassidy." I said shutting my locker.
"Okay, I will wait for you in the car ", he said softly kissing my forehead.
He walked to the doors as I walked to my friend's locker. As I walked down the hall I thought about how in love I was with Max. I had only ever loved one other person and that was Tyler , but him and I weren't meant for each other.
I ran into Kassidy and Will on my way to their locker. They were holding hands and walking close together.
" Hey Teresa!", Kassidy said as she let go of Will's hand and hugged me.
"Hi" I said as she backed away. She had wavy blond hair and blue eyes. She was a few inches taller than me but we were about the same size.
"Are we still meeting at your house to get ready for the graduation", she asked as she entwined her fingers with Will's again.
" Yes, but do you think you can come an hour earlier, I kind of wanted you to do my hair" I said giving her my best puppy dog face.
"Of course!!!" she said giving me a 'duh' look.
I wanted her to do my hair because she was the best hair stylists in the world, or at least out of the people I knew which I could say is the whole world since I practically knew everyone in Miami.
"Okay good, come on lets go", I said turning around and walking by there side.
*********
The graduation went well and the whole week went by super fast. I finished the last few details of my wedding like getting my dress, the decorations and so many other things that had to be done.
The day of my wedding had come. I felt so nervous but happy at the same time. My dress was long and white. It had spaghetti straps and I wore a little shawl over it. My hair was done by Kassidy and my makeup was done by my Aunt Melissa who was a professional at it.
I was looking at myself in the mirror when I was left alone. I then saw him in the back of the mirror and I turned around to see if he was really there. He was.
"Tyler, what are you doing here" I asked in a frustrated voice.
"I came to tell you that I will never stop loving you even if you get married. I won't ever give up on us. I know you loved me more than anything in the world just like I love you more than anything."
"You said it, loved, as in the past"
"You can keep denying it but I know you still feel something for me." and with that he was gone.

"It's time", Kassidy said as she walked in the room.
I took a deep breath before standing up. "Lets go then", I said with a big smile on my face.
It was Max's dad who walked me to the alter. My parents had died when I was 16 in a car accident. I had lived a little while with my grandma but when I was 17 I moved out and got my own little apartment. I had no siblings and my only aunt, which was my dad's sister, was single and had no children. My mom was the only child like me. I practically had no family but my grandma and my aunt and in a few seconds I would have a whole new family with Max.
The walk to the alter felt like an eternity. I was very nervous and with everyone staring at me I wouldn't be surprised if I felt sweat coming down my face. Max was in front of me waiting with a big smile. Once I got to the altar the priest begun with the ceremony. I saw Tyler in the very front. The priest then asked the most important question of the ceremony. "Max Wilson do you take Teresa Evens as your wife to love and to hold all the days of your life".
"I do", he said turning to me and smiling. I smiled back. Teresa Evens do you take Max Wilson as your spouse to love and to hold all the days of your life".
" I...."
