Chapter 14

CHAPTER 14

Tyler's POV

The taxi stopped in front of my house and the driver asked for money. I gave him what I owed and stepped out of the car letting the fresh air hit my face. It was windy and there was a full moon. If you looked to the ocean you could see the moon clearly reflected on the water.

After my call with Teresa , I couldn't take my anger anymore so I called an old friend, Trent, and invited him to the bar. We had a few shots and caught up on our lives.

I use to live in California before I moved to Florida.

It was fun to talk with Trent and it took my mind off of "things". I would have stayed longer but then these two girls came and I left before I did something stupid I would regret. Like the last I got drunk and was around a girl, I lost what I most loved in the world and it wouldn't happen again.

So here I was, unlocking my door at 4 in the morning wondering if Teresa would be home or still off with...him.

I unlock the door and throw the keys on the counter. I curse when the keys made it all the way across the counter and on to the floor.

I walked to the other side of the counter and picked up the keys and carefully set them on the counter. I take of my black leather jacket as I make my way up the stairs. I stop in front of Teresa's door and I hesitate to look. I sigh as I see she is fast asleep on the bed under the covers.

She looks beautiful and at peace. I haven't seen her like this in such a long time. Ever since the accident she seems tense. What I'm doing is wrong. She's married to Max and her responsibility is to be with him. As much as it hurts me she has to know that she has more people out there who care about her and love her.

As I look at her sleep I make up in mind that I'm telling her about Max tomorrow. I'll tell her slowly like the doctor said, but she deserves to know the truth.

I gently stroke her cheek and push back some of her chocolate brown hair back behind her ear.

" I love you" I whisper and the then without thinking I lean forward and kiss her on her soft pink lips. Once I pull back she slowly turns to her right and I let out the breath I didn't even know I was holding. This was the last time I would be able to tell her I love you or kiss her because by tomorrow she would know she's a married women.

Teresa's POV

I wake up when I hear the sound of my alarm and I instantly hit snooze. I get up and quietly walk to the closest. I pull out the bags I packed last night and take out the letter I wrote for Tyler.

I was moving out and staying at Brian's house. It wasn't what I had planned but I told Brian about not wanting to live with Tyler anymore and he offered me his house. At first I didn't except ,but he said that Jasmine's there and that his moms not going to come back for a month. So in the end I accepted, plus Jasmine's there and she's like a sister to me.

It was 6am and luckily I didn't have to work until tomorrow. I slowly and quietly made my way down stairs. I put the letter on the counter and walk out the door. I walk through the sand to Brian and Jasmine's house. I'm surprised when I see my car outside there house. I smile to myself at the fact that Brian went all the way back just to get my car.

I knock on the front door and its quickly opened by a very happy Jasmine. She suddenly grabs me into a hug.

" O my god! your actually here!" she says when she finally lets me go.

"When Brian said you were moving here I thought he was playing a joke on me but here you are!" she says.

"Here I am " I say.
