Zelda pulled on her sweater and then layered a coat on top of that. With a pillow and blanket in her arms she went up the stairs and then opened the window. As she set her stuff aside she yanked the screen out and set it against the wall. Gathering the pillows again, she climbed out the window and stepped onto the roof.

She spread out her blanket and laid back to gaze at the stars. It was so pretty up in the mountains. Completely dark, so close to the sky... This was one of the redeeming factors when it came to her isolation.

She stared up at the lights, and time passed neither quickly nor slowly,' it just passed. She liked the daze that the stars left her in. She didn't even feel whimsical for how they made her contemplate the universe; to think about life in general. A shooting star whizzed across the sky above her, and she smiled slightly as she snuggled further into the blanket. "I wish he was here," she whispered.

Her phone went off in her pocket, and it was the notification she'd set for Link.

"Hey Zel, did you have another boring day? "

"It wasn't so bad."

"Are you alright? You usually send longer texts."

"I'm fine."

"Now I'm actually worried. Zel, what's up?"

"It's....Never mind. Lana wasn't working today so I was alone. I'm just being spoiled for complaining. I don't need friends around every second. I don't want to be a snobby rich girl."

"Come on Zel, you're not a snob for admitting that you're lonely."

"Thanks, I think I knew that, I just didn't want to admit it to myself."

"What are you doing now?"

"Stargazing."

"Ah, I'm sorry, I know how much you love doing that, am I distracting you? Should I stop texting you?"

"Thanks, but I like talking to you as much as I like the stars."

"I'm flattered, I know how much you love the night sky... See any shooting stars?"

"Yeah."

"What did you wish for?"

"You know I can't share that information, then it won't come true."

"Can I guess, Princess?"

"Maybe my wish was to have you stop calling me that."

"I don't think so, you like it ;)"

"It's embarrassing Link! I'm not a princess."

"I guess not, after all, princesses don't have that many friends."

"Ouch Link, you wound me."

"You know I'm teasing. Besides, you're my princess, you don't need an actual title for me to call you that. Can I guess what you wished for?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because you know me too well, and when you guess I won't be able to lie to you, and then it can't come true. So no."

"Alright, Princess."

"You're so full of it Link."

"Did you want to hear it?"

Zelda stared down at her phone. No. He knew already. By the goddesses he really knew her well. But no way she could stand his response, even if he was wrong, it would definitely hit close to home. She set her phone on her chest and looked up at the stars. There was a haze between the lights, and she knew it was the view of her own galaxy. To know just how small she was. How tiny she was compared to the vastness of just her own planet, the solar system...the galaxy, the countless galaxies apart from her own...

"No, I don't want to hear it, because I want it to come true."

"Suit yourself, Princess, I'm sorry, but I've got to go."

"See you later Link, thanks."

"See you, Princess."
