Ember's pov
I was in fear James was beating on me and he was making Damon watch it all. Damon was pulling the chains. He was fighting harder and harder. James slam me to the floor and blood ran on the floors. That was it Damon broke free and grab James throat. James knocked him on. I hid into a ball. He stomped on Damon. Damon was still trying to fight. I try to stand up but it was hard. I think my legs were broking. I wobble a little trying to keep balance. I grab a lose chain and throw it to Damon but James grabbed in and wrapped it to Damon's neck. No. I cried hard. Damon was dying. Tear were running down my face. James looks at me. "Look what you done?"he slapped me repeatedly. I start feeling myself getting weaker. I see Damon. Poor Damon just wanted to protect me but it got killed. I try to close eyes.

I heard gagging.Damon was behind James choke around James neck. James lost the battle. He fell cold to the ground. "Don't worry Ember. We're going home." Damon quietly said. He took the choke off my foot and picked me. "You're save. He told Ember. I can protect you. The Dragon God is giving me another chance at live. He made me strong. He said I'm one the strongest dragons. That's my farther and brother knew it. They were scared. I would take everything from them. That's why they beating. Trying I guess keep me in place." Damon's voice was getting lower as he carried me out. I looked at him. "Damon. I'm gladded you're ok. Are you think about facing your dad? I can't losing you yet." I ask. His wings open as we flew thought the sky. "Not yet. I have to get you better first. I have to wait until he's at his weakest. But like i said not until you're better. I wouldn't leave your side." Damon said. We landed at my house. It was dark hopefully no one saw him flying. "Dddddragon!!!!!!!"a pack member screamed. Damon ran in the house into my room with me. He laid me on the bed. "Get some rest Ember. I'll take you to the doctor in the morning." Damon said softly. Damon laid beside me. I knew he wouldn't be getting any sleep. He was too worried about everything that happened. I soon fall into a deep sleep wondering how it was going to tell Damon what happened there or I'd I should?
