“Oh Ethan. Nice to see you” I said, sarcasm tinting the edge of my words. “Why are you bothering me on this fine day?” I asked him, narrowing my eyes at him. He just rolled his eyes back at me before looking out of the window. Why were we looking out of the window, day before school? Shouldn’t we be getting our stuff ready or something? I heard a chuckle, coming from beside me. What was his problem?!

“Are you ok? Should I go retrieve someone? Do you need medicine?” I asked him, raising my eyebrows at him before shaking my head, “No, but you just amuse me” He replied, a smile still lingering on his lips. “Just for the way you act and speak really”, I felt offended by this. How Dare He!

“Excuse me? I amuse you? What the hell?!” I went to shove him away, but I thought better of trying to harm this idiot. So, instead I proceeded to call Sappy downstairs. “SAPPY! COME ON! YOUR BOYFRIEND WANTS TO GO HOME!!” I yelled, as his gave me this confused look. I just smirked, before hearing a loud thud on the floor above and then running footsteps as they descended the stairs.

“Oh.. already? I was just telling my mum that we were staying for Dinner”, She tried to explain, but I just shrugged, nodding at Ethan before explaining, “Sorry.,. Your boyfriend here just informed me that he wants to go home and pack for tomorrow. You know, school!” I made it seem like he was excited just to go back to the school of his dreams and this seemed to have convinced Sappy enough.

“Oh right! Fair enough then”, She shrugged, before running of back up the stairs before running into Ethan’s’ so called room. Really, it was just the spare room given to Ethan because he would stay a lot. I could hear a low murmur from the room, probably Sappy on the phone to her mum, explaining about the situation. 30 minutes later, Sappy was back downstairs with her stuff. Ready to go!

“So, I’ll see you tomorrow? 8:30 in the main playground?” Sappy asked me, as Ethan picked her stuff up for her. I nodded, my nerves trying to take over as they both waved bye to me. Because this was it; they were finally leaving to go to their respective homes before judgment day tomorrow. It all began at Half 8 in the morning, based on who was already there that is.

“Bye!” I shouted as I closed the front door on reality for a bit. I breathed, controlling myself before I went into the kitchen to find something to snack on. Luca’s dad was in the kitchen, sitting at the table and reading a newspaper. He took no notice of me, apart from when I opened the fridge. “You know, dinner shall be soon” He muttered, raising an eyebrow at me before returning his eyes to the newspaper in his hands. “Oh, I know, I just wanted to fill a small space in my stomach” I replied, with a small shrug before I picked up a few grapes from the plastic container and popping them into my mouth. Mm, juicy grapes!

I wandered out of the kitchen, around the house and waited for dinner to be called. It wouldn’t be long now, so I hoped my stomach wouldn’t keep rumbling. I heard the familiar tone of Luca’s mum call out, and I raced down. One entering the kitchen again, I noticed Luca was sitting there all ready and with my seat saved next to him. He smiled at me, before patting the chair.

I took my seat at the table, before beginning to dish up and I heard Luca whisper in my ear “Ready for tomorrow morning? I shall be next to you if you need me hunny” I felt, in my heart at that moment that he was being sincere and he would be there tomorrow to protect me if anything happened.
