As I walked into the room where Comet was waiting for me, I couldn't help but smile at the fact that the fear of losing it and killing him was much smaller then it ever has been.

"So, what was the exact reason for my return, aside from the fact that I have been missing for the previous three hours?"

"Do we really need another reason to call you back? Your walks usually only take twenty minutes. Griffin was worried sick about you the longer you were gone. The only reason you had such time was because I was here to calm him down." Comet spoke, not even turning to face me. He kept staring at the large monitor in front of him.

I sighed and walked over next to him, curious as to what he was looking at. I smiled when it was nothing more then a map of the islands, both mine and the others.

"I still can't believe you raised all of this earth from well, Earth. It's just so much land. How much magic does it cost to keep these islands in the air instead of crashing back down?" He turned to face me when he could feel my presence next to him. Curiosity filled his eyes like those of a child who just learned something new of the world and wanted it explained to them.

"Yes, I did raise these islands from the ground into the Sky, but we both know the reason for that. I am just appreciative that humanity has forgotten the reason."

"Yea about that... I don't think all of them have... I was looking at all of the islands and listening in to local news on each one. Apparently, someone named Willnah started a rebellion against you. Reasons for it right now seem to be local, but I have a growing feeling in my gut she is digging up your past to build her pile of dirt on you." I kept my face level as not to alarm anyone, but fear began to churn inside of me like water inside of a boiling pot.

"What island is this rebellion on or has it spread to all of them?"

"Well, I said it was local. What's the one island that would have a partially decent reason to hate you?" I racked my brain. I could think of at least five decent reasons for each island to hate me. As I thought about each island, a face began to appear within my mind and his name echoed like a whisper, haunting you after waking up from a bad dream.

"Micros. It's on Animal Island, isn't it?" Comet nods, his affirmation only making my heart sink deeper into my chest.

"I know how much you try to fit in with the rest of us...." he pauses realizing how poorly he had phrased that last sentence. "Well I mean, you look like us but we can't, as humans, use magic as loosely or as much. Magic to humans takes years of study, but for you it's as easy as breathing and people are scared of magic. It can cause disasters. You of all people understand that...." He dove to try and save his last sentence, but the blow had been dealt. I simply nodded to him.

"Is it new? I have a feeling you have been with holding this information from me for more then just today." I noticed his Adam's apple bounce as he swallowed his spit, nervous to reveal the truth to me.

"Yes, I admit it. I have been hiding this from you for a while. It just didn't seem like the right time to break the news to you...." He looked at the steel floor and started to shuffle his feet nervously as he built his courage to tell me the rest of it.

"How long, Comet?"

His feet began to shuffle more against the ground. As he avoided eye contact with me, I did nothing but stand there and wait for him to tell me the truth.

"About three months ago is when the rebellion started, but I didn't want to tell you because you're trying to be like us. I mean, your fitting in nicely with us but..." His voice dropped to silence as he saw the damage plague my face from his sentences. "Okay, Kiero. I'll just be honest with you...You scare people. Sometimes your abilities to use magic are... Inhuman and people are afraid of what they can't understand. You're just... You're not like us." My eyes burn bright as rage enters my heart and I want to scream and holler at him, throw him into the ground and show him just how much magic I could use.
