Chapter 12

"I'm looking for patient Jessica Reedy." Justice spoke to the receptionist. She waited patiently as she typed away on her computer.

"Room 327."

Justice thanked the woman and headed for the elevators. She did everything she could to calm her nerves. When the doors opened to her floor she stepped out and began her search for her god sister's room.

"Here goes nothing." She said softly as she stopped in front of the door. She knocked twice before slowly opening the door. She stepped in with a nervous smile on her face. "Hey sweetie, how are you feeling?" She asked.

"Better. Babe can you give us a second?" Jessica asked and for the first time Justice noticed there was someone else in the room.

She watched the guy stand from his seat and head for the door. She gave the guy a polite smile and took a step to the side. She glanced back at the door once he was out, but shook the thoughts away.

"New boo?" Justice teased taking the recently vacant seat.

"Yeah, he's sweet. Rough around the edges but sweet. I'm trying to keep him from the streets but I guess you can't change them all." Jessica said with a shrug. "His name is Trell, but for whatever reasons his friends call him Majik."

In that moment, Justice received answers to her questions. Sup Big Majik. Skillz's voice range in her head. He's been off the grid because he's been messing around with her god sister. Now how much of a coincidence could that have been.

"How long have you two been together?" Justice asked curiously.

"Two months now, but we've been talking for about three months. You know, the whole get to know you deal." She nodded her head trying to wrap this new information around her mind. So it has to be a coincidence then.

"Well, I hope for his sake, he treats you right. You know I'm crazy and will shoot a nigga in a heartbeat."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. We all know yo crazy ass is trigger happy." Jessica laughed. "So what's up?"

"I don't know you tell me."

Jessica released a heavy sigh, already knowing where this was going. She shook her head as she tried getting her words together.

"It's just too much."

"Then start from the beginning. I understand you still felt hurt from what happened a while back, hell so did I. But I was willing to let it all go and forget everything; I knew you were sorry for how things went down, and I honestly didn't blame you. I blamed myself for being so stupid and nieve. You were more important to me than some nigga. Chicks before dicks. Always." Justice explained.

"I know but you never gave me a chance to explain, nor would you let me apologize, and I figured you were distancing yourself from me. I thought that maybe if I had tried a little harder, or put up a bigger fight, then things wouldn't have gotten so out of hand." Jessica paused for a moment, preparing herself to spill what's been really eating away at her heart. "But that's not all."

Justice took her hand and gave it a light reassuring squeeze letting her know it's okay to continue.

"I was pregnant. I got scared and didn't know what to do. You weren't talking to me, I couldn't tell my parents, and I damn sure wasn't going to tell Malik since it was his fault. So I did the only thing I thought was right and would save me a shit load of trouble; I got an abortion. I was eight weeks a long when I got it. When I found out I was pregnant I was only six weeks, and the other two weeks I sat and debated with myself if I really was going to go through with it.
