It's a Saturday morning, which means no school and no early mornings yay. I was not one who enjoyed waking up early in the morning just because i have to go listen to some old person feed me information that was only stuck to their brain because they have been singing it for more than five years in front of students. Worst thing, they tell you to remember everything they teach you, so since we had about seven subjects you have to remember what the department of education found worthy to divide to seven teachers all by yourself. Which is very clever because if one teacher couldn't handle teaching all subjects alone why should one student remember everything all seven of them taught? Students are that smart (note the sarcasm). All these thoughts went through my mind as I looked up the ceiling of my bedroom. Deciding to take my mobile phone to check the time I was stunned by what appeared on the screen 06:47. Oh I tell you, if it was a school day my body would be screaming sleep right now, but for some odd reason on a Saturday my body thought waking up bright and early was a good idea. How i wish i had control over it. With a sigh i put my phone next to me and closed my eyes with a motive to fall asleep again. At that moment my phone found it the right moment to buzz, shaking the whole bed making it impossible to sleep.
"Wow kill me now!" I said covering my ears with my hands forgetting the vibration was felt by the whole body. Giving up i squeezed my eyes shut before opening them again slowly and taking my mobile to my hands. Drawing the pattern to unlock it I opened the message.
Person it's morning wake up already
This is my usual good morning text from my friend Nate. You'd think by this time he would have learnt some manners but nope not him. Speaking of which, where are my manners?
My name is Taylor Torry Williams. I am a seventeen year old who goes to Green Wich High, though some say i'm a smart ass i like to say i'm just up-to-date with my academics and like to keep my grades at A's. I'm not an 'it' girl or a nerd or anything of that sort but i'm known by a few people (okay maybe a lot) around school. This who just texted me is my friend Nate,we've been inseparable friends since end of junior year till now. He likes texting me - or rather we like texting - saying texts made life easier since there are people who wouldn't mind wasting oxygen just saying unnecessary things until you stop listening and start visualizing your long lost cousin you only met once. Yes! That's how bored you'd be . So if you text you save the limited oxygen (maybe not limited but still) and people from looking for their loved ones with their imagination. This are his words not mine.
so much for respecting my love of sleep, don't you have a girlfriend to be texting or an ex to comfort or those fan girls of yours...anything to keep you from disturbing my beauty sleep
Though I have been up i just had to say that. Well if you're inquisitive like me and were asking if Nate is a player, then the answer is yes. For some reason the girls seem to not mind that at all. No matter how much they know about the other girl they'd hold on to him like bees on a flower with the last nectar of its kind. Don't get me wrong I love my friend but sometimes i wish they could just play him so he can feel the pain the girls feel, just once is enough. That would be a lovely time of my life, I get to eat ice cream while i listen to him whine about how hurt he is or even worse shed a tear because they left him. Hilarious is it not? Sometimes the girls give me looks that could kill when we do our crazy stunts, though they know i was there before them. How cute. Nate and I would go where the couples at our school love to have their dovey moments and just play along. Me being me sometimes i sing the song from LOLA everybody everybody wants to love, everybody everybody wants to be loved, love love love...just to mock them. How you'd see some of them cuddle and blush right there, priceless. Another buzz shook me off my trace only this time it lasted longer. Like a call.
"Hello?"
I asked totally not knowing who it might be. People didn't see to understand the meaning of a weekend, we should have lessons at school that reminds people of such common knowledge, but you know what they say about common knowledge...it's not always common."Never knew you could be civil"
Nate said from the other end with a bit of amusement sounding from his voice. If he calls he knew i would say something along the lines of Campton his last name or tell him something random like what i'm doing before he says anything at all. Let's just say i never used the word hello with him, I just don't understand how the whole world got programmed to answer a phone by asking a question such as hello. I mean isn't there any other thing people could say besides that? Even technically it's not right, how do you answer with a question? Isn't that classified under rude?
"As for me i always suspected you didn't know me, you just proved me right" i grinned knowing I beat him to his own game. Letting that go i continued " so to what do i owe the pleasure of receiving a call from mister Camptom so early in the morning?" I asked trying to sound like a business woman. That question was also to get us going, knowing us we might take an hour to get to the point of the call. "I stole my dad's phone to call you" see what i mean? We're even stating the obvious now i mean did he really think i would suggest he called Daisy? That's my sister by the way. Why I am Taylor and my sister Daisy you ask my parents. I was about to comment when Nate continued with his motive of calling. "I was thinking, since its super early and we're both up why don't we go to the school's grounds and watch the sunrise? I know how much my Taylor loves nature" he ended.
"Eewww! Don't call me that again i'm nowhere close to being one of your girls and yes meet me in five, wouldn't wanna miss the sun now would we?" With that i hung up the phone and jumped out of bed to the bathroom to brush my hair and teeth for the sun before i headed out. I just lived about three minutes away from school so I would make it in time hopefully also in time back for breakfast seen as my mom always sang the breakfast-is-the-most-important-meal-of-the-day song.
