Everything seemed to happen in slow motion. Blair's mouth opened in shock as she clumsily took steps back to separate herself from the scene unfolding before her. As she was tripping over her own feet, the other four boys appeared in a flash and assisted Harry.

She could feel her heart rate increasing and her hands were getting clammy as she watched all of the boys extend fangs out of their mouths and take steps towards the brawl Harry was involved in. Her steps continued backwards slowly, her eyes unwilling to disconnect from the scene. It was only when the wolf flipped Harry off and took a defensive position against the boys that her brain finally connected with her feet and allowed her to move.

Her feet hammered against the ground as rapidly as her heart was against her chest. Fear and adrenaline coursed through her veins and although she was unaware of where she was, she knew she needed to getaway. The trees seemed never-ending as she struggled to navigate herself away from the house where the fight was taking place.

Harry stood with the other boys, too preoccupied watching the large beast to risk taking a glance back at the girl although he knew she was scared, and he knew she had just found out the thing he was scared to tell her in the worst way possible. He hoped she was a safe distance from the fight taking place but part of him felt as though perhaps she was too far from the fight for his liking. The wolf took an attack position and Harry knew now was not the right time to be checking in on his girl. He needed to concentrate.

The boys all shared a quick glance before closing in on the golden creature some more, hoping to deter him from his attack. The wolf took a determined posture; its front paws extending and allowing it to lower the front of its large body. His rear was in the air ready to provide him with the power to pounce. He snarled at the boys, annoyed that once again they were stopping him from getting what he wanted. His eyes singled in on Harry, baring his rows of teeth as he did so. He knew there was no way he could take on all five of them and win. But he didn't need to. He had kept them distracted enough that they didn't notice the girl running off, but he had.

With one final movement, the wolf jumped into the air and over the boys standing in his way before bounding into the forest after his prey. The boys all let out a light sigh in relief unbeknownst to the fact that Blair had run off. Harry turned around to try to explain himself and quickly realised that she was nowhere to be seen. Anxiety rose in his stomach as he tried to determine where she had gone.

Louis quickly realised what was happening and moved closer to Harry. Both boys listening for her footsteps and heartbeat. Harry could feel the distance between them but struggled to identify the direction she had headed as panic rose. Blair was alone in the woods with a merciless creature. The other boys tried to calm him down, reassuring him as Niall focused on the girl before he took off running. The others swiftly followed only to stop short when an ear piercing scream echoed through the trees. The wood of the trunks seemed to amplify the fear that resonated in the sound; the boys all shared a look before taking off again, more urgency in their movements.

Blair was still running although her fear and adrenaline had peaked when the wolf from before appeared, cutting her path off. She quickly redirected herself, continuously looking around to try and avoid the creature. She heard the creature's paws behind her and chanced a look back to see how far away it was. Turning to face forwards she increased her speed knowing that the wolfs attack was imminent only to run into something hard. Blair looked up as she stumbled back and let out another scream as she stared at the green eyes that had once provided her with comfort, but now only proved to cause fear.

She took cautious steps back, her heart rate increasing to a dangerous level. The wolf stopped its chase and stood and the other side of the girl, looking past her to the boys. Blair was now in the middle of the two hazards. She looked between them hopelessly, unsure which she should be more fearful of.

Suddenly Harry took a step forward, calling out to her "Blair, please. It's not safe, let me explain please". He took more cautious steps forward, waiting for her response.

"No! Stay back, all of you!" she screamed, eyeing all six figured before dropping to the ground. Her legs were underneath her as she leant forward, her arms hanging by her sides in exhaustion. Harry took another step forward as the wolf geared up to pounce, using Harry as the perfect distraction to take the girl.

"I said stay back!" she screamed at Harry, her fists hitting the ground in anger right as the wolf lunged for her. Harry detected the sudden movement from the wolf and he ran forward to prevent the attack.

The boys looked on confused as the wolf and Harry both moved towards Blair only to be pushed back by something. Blair looked around confused as Harry stood himself back up and approached her again, this time slowly. The wolf also regained its footing before it started pacing around its side of her. Harry's arms extended in front of him as he moved slowly as if waiting to hit something before he halted his movements.

"Blair please, I'm not going to hurt you, please, I only want to protect you". The girl shook her head but remained confused and scared. Harry continued to try and get closer to her but only got pushed backwards in response.

Realising he was not going to get any closer, Harry moved his focus to the wolf waiting to see what his next move would be. Moments passed and they just stared each other down. Moments turned to hours as the boys have moved to create somewhat of a border around the girl who still remained hunched on the ground surrounded by a barrier.

Upon realising that the situation was not going to change, the wolf gave one final snarl towards the boys before running off into the forest and away from them. The boys postured visibly relaxed at the removal of the wolfs presence however they remained vigilant in case it returned. Harry sighed before leaning back against the barrier that separated him from Blair.

The sun continued to move in the sky, almost completely below the horizon now and he wondered how much longer Blair could maintain whatever she was doing. All the boys were confused and shared hushed whispers about the barricade wondering how it was that it appeared. The conversation had continued until Louis suggested that perhaps she just possessed the ability. The boys agreed that this was the most likely reason however, still highly unusual and unbelievable.

Suddenly, the barricade gave way causing Harry's back to drop and hit the ground harshly. He let out a groan of pain before quickly regaining his composure and approaching Blair. She looked tired. He body had let out on her as she lay on the ground and he eyes struggled to stay open. Her heart rate picked up as Harry got closer to her, leaning down to be closer to her level before going to pick her up.
"No" she let out weakly, softly moving her arms to try and push him away.
"Shhhh. I'm just taking you to safety. It's not safe here" he said softly as he held her bridal style, moving her so her head was tucked into his neck.

"What.... What are you?" She said weakly, her eyes failing to stay open for longer than a second as her body loosened in his hold. Harry took a deep breath in before responding; "I think you probably already figured that out".

There was a long pause and Harry almost thought she had passed out as her Heart rate slowed to a normal pace before she responded, "Mmm". There was another long pause as Harry was unsure of what to say and Blair seemed gone to another world only for the word "Vampire" to pass her lips quietly before her head became heavier and her breaths became deeper.
