I looked around the church and saw how lovely it looked with all the decorations covering the walls and floor. This will be the place that I will be married at tomorrow and it would be for the greater good of my life. I have gotten to know Torrie so well in all the time we have known each other and it makes me feel like a better man now that I realize that life can be good. Torrie walked in and she smiled at me.
I smiled in return, “Tomorrow is the day.”
“It is isn’t it?” She asked and she looked around the church.
I nodded and replied, “It is and that makes me so nervous yet very happy.”
“I am happy too and very nervous,” she admitted.
“I’m sure you will look very pretty in your wedding dress tomorrow,” I said.
She was blushing like mad, “You really think so Pony?”
“I know so,” I replied and we kissed.
Ember then walked in, “What the hell is this place going to be like tomorrow?”
“Hopefully not to filled with people,” Torrie said.
Ember laughed, “I swear if I get married I’m going to elope because ain’t no way in hell that I am going to be married in front of people.”
“You and Two-Bit will get eloped because you both have similar personalities,” I said to Ember.
She then flashed me a smile, “I kind of figured we did because I seem to capture a lot of laughs from him.”
“Everyone laughs at you both because you are so funny,” Torrie added.
Ember shrugged, “I guess so. Anyways, I heard Darry and Soda are in town now and will be at the wedding. The boys will be too so don’t be surprised if you hear them screaming and shouting.”
“Nothing surprises me anymore,” I said to Ember, “the guys are just so weird when it comes to love.”
“Steve and his girl have been together for a while haven’t they?” Torrie asked me.
I nodded, “They have but we all know they are going to marry one day.”
“I’m worried about Soda,” Ember said suddenly.
“Why?” I asked.
“He seems happy for ya’ll but I guess he wanted to be the first to get married,” she said to me.
Torrie replied, “I guess the timing wasn’t right.”
“I suppose so.”
I then said, “He will get married one day but to the right girl.”
“He did love Sandy,” Ember stated.
“He’ll get over her soon,” I replied.
Torrie then looked outside and smiled, “The sky looks amazing during the day.”
“It does,” I agreed.
Torrie pulled me to her side so I could get a better look. Her face was full of concentration and she was thinking about something. Whatever she was thinking about, it sure did make her think hard. She then smiled and looked at me, “The sun reminds me of you.”
“Really?” I asked in shock.
“The sun reminds me of how you can heal and become better. The sun sometimes hides behinds clouds and we can relate that to being sad or ashamed of something. When the sun is out, we can relate that to the emotion of happiness.”
