"Can I help you?" I asked staring down at him. He was about three inches shorter than me due to the 4-inch heels I bought yesterday with Natalie.

"Uh... Yeah um... I-I-I was wondering if you'd... Maybe if you wanted to..." He stuttered staring directly at my chest.

Noted that this is the 12th time a guy has come up to me and I only just got here. Three of them ran away before they finished their sentence like I was going to eat them, four of them thought they'd try using pick up lines and calling me "Baby" to get my number, and the other five just mumbled, a bunch of words I couldn't understand, nervously.

Including Tom, here.

"Oh, Tom." I seductively slid the back of my hand across his cheek while stepping closer to him. Leaning in, I let my lips lightly graze the top of his ear. I could feel his pulse quicken and his breathe catch in his throat. He swallowed audibly.

I pulled away and tilted my head to the side. "What was it you were saying?" He just stared at me and seemed to be literally frozen in place. I shrugged and spun around on the heels of my feet before looking over my shoulder and waving back at him.

"Bye Tommy."

As I walked away I heard his friends approach him behind me. "I told you that you had no chance with her. It's Brooke Tanner for gods sakes!"

6 Weeks Earlier*

"How come we don't get cheerleaders?" Cole whined, stretching his neck out so far, I thought he would tip over.

I rolled my eyes as I watched the guys standing on the sidelines staring at the football cheerleaders as they retreated back to the locker room. It was bad enough that I had to share a locker room with them, I would lose my mind if I had to watch their bogus hair flipping and giggling all the time at our games. "We don't even have a girls soccer team Cole, you think this school could afford a cheerleading squad for soccer?"

"I think I know a few girls who would do it for free." He turned towards me, raising his eyebrows while a grin stretched across his face.

"You don't get paid to be a high school cheerleader, idiot." Liam, our fullback, smacked Cole on the back of the head on his way back towards Coach Taylor. The rest of them followed, not wanting to get in trouble for being late to the huddle. Well not all of them.

"Hi, Jake." Casey Muller made a weird pouty face at Jake, causing him to fall behind the rest f the team. It wouldn't be the first time his horniness would get him in trouble during practice. I ran towards him, not wanting to have to run extra laps for his stupidity.

"Hi, Jake." I teased, mocking Casey's high pitched tone. She gave me a glare that I was officially immune to and walked away.

"Now that wasn't very nice, B," an amused smile played on his face.

"Whatever, I'm sick of you making us run laps." I turned my body, with indifference. The guys were all huddled up already and Coach Taylor was looking towards us. Undoubtedly we would have to run extra for making him wait. Probably a lot too, judging by the steam coming out of his ears. There was no way I was going to be the reason why. Just before I picked up my speed, I was suddenly airborne. Jake had grabbed me by the upper legs and was running me towards where the team was waiting.

"Glad you could join us"

"Sorry coach, Brooke was hitting on me."

Jake was still holding me in the air so I bent my foot and kicked him in the leg. Immediately he cringed, setting me down and crouching over to hold the sweet spot where I no doubt left a bruise. Whatever, he deserved it.
