I woke up Saturday morning to someone screaming at me. My eyes shot open as I tried to focus on the object leaning over me.
Natalie was waving her arms around and yelling something about me being a terrible person and other things that I couldn't understand.
I groaned and shoved the pillow around my head to block out the sound of her voice.
"Are you listening to me?" She screeched after ripping the pillow out of my hands.
I ran my hands over my face and let out a deep sigh. "What do you want?" I mumbled and threw my legs over the side of the bed.
Natalie took a step back to let me get up, but continued to banter. "I cannot believe you! Not only did you leave us at the party with no phone call or text or anything, but I had to hear about what happened with you from someone's fucking Facebook status Brooke! Why didn't you tell me you and Brian Costanza have a thing? I didn't even know you two knew each other! And Vicky
Peluso? People from my school that I don't even know are talking about you! And here I am, still having no idea what happened at Brian's house last night! You had me worried sick and-" she cut herself off when I walked out the door.
"C'mon" was all I said.
"Where are you going? Brooke? Brooke!" She yelled from my room as I trotted down the stairs.
"To talk to Brian!"

"Brooke you have no idea what you're getting yourself into." Natalie stared at me as I pulled into the same house we were at last night. Cars were still lined across the side of the house and there was trash everywhere. It looked a lot bigger without so many people there.
"Natalie that's why I'm trying to get out of it. I'm going to make sure Brian doesn't lead people to believe we're dating." I sighed. After I told her the truth about what really happened, Natalie was trying to convince me to stay away from Brian.
"It's too late Brooke. You're already on Vicky's shit list." She shook her head and stepped out of the car. "Talking to him about it isn't going to help. Brian Constanza is going to do what he wants no matter what." She reached for my arm as we were halfway across his lawn and pulled me back slightly. "Come on Brooke, it's worthless."
Ignoring her attempts, I continued towards his front door and lightly knocked.
"Brooke." Natalie groaned from behind me.
The door opened slightly and there stood a blonde shirtless boy with an amused smirk playing on his face.
"Well look who it is." He chuckled out before turning his head to face the other direction. "Brian, your girlfriend is here!" He yelled and walked away.
I scoffed loudly in frustration and rolled my eyes. "I am not his girlfriend!"
Suddenly Brian was standing in the doorway staring at me looking just as fine, if not finer, than he did last night.
"We need to talk." I demanded before he had the chance to speak.
He eyed me cautiously before looking me up and down. I felt my cheeks heat up as I realized I was only wearing short shorts and a tight tank top. I had just woken up and I didn't even think to change before we left. I pulled at the hem of my shorts feeling incredibly self conscious. His eyes wandered behind me on Natalie before he stepped back and gestured us inside.
We walked through his living room, which was filled with teenage boys sleeping, and into the kitchen.
"Can I get you anything to drink?" He asked as he opened the huge stainless steal refrigerator.
