"'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, except for Edgar, because he's a idiot with no sense of time management!!"
"A really cute idiot though," said Edgar.
"Shut up," said Todo, a blush creeping across his cheeks.
"You didn't deny it," Edgar pointed out.
"Shut up," Todo repeated, now blushing furiously.
Edgar only laughed, and kissed his boyfriend on the cheek before disappearing into their bedroom. Todo sighed, staring across the room at their Christmas tree, his cheeks still burning. He stayed a few moments longer, until his cheeks were no longer flaming red, and then followed Edgar.
"Seriously though, who on earth leaves the gift wrapping until Christmas Eve?"
"Me, apparently." Edgar ripped off a piece of tape with his teeth as he attempted to cut wrapping paper with one hand.
Todo watched him struggle for a few moments, before giving in and asking, "Do you want some help?"
"Hmm?" Edgar glanced up at his boyfriend distractedly. "Oh, um, no that's fine. You can go on to bed. I'll go to the living room so I don't disturb you. It's late anyways." Edgar placed one final piece of tape on the box he was wrapping, then began to gather his things as Todo undressed for bed.
"Fair warning though," Edgar said, admiring the shape of Todo's bare legs, "if you wake up tomorrow in a box don't be worried. I asked Santa for the cutest person in the world for Christmas." Todo raised an eyebrow. Edgar winked and tilted his head up, still seated on the floor.
"That has got to be the lamest pickup line in existence," Todo said, rolling his eyes at Edgar.
"Don't worry," Edgar laughed, "that was only plan A."
Todo looked at him quizzically. "What's plan B then?"
"To take you hostage," Edgar said, leaning back on his elbows, perfectly deadpan.
Todo raised his eyebrow. "Isn't that a little too... I don't know..."
"Adventurous?" Edgar suggested.
"I was going to say drastic," Todo replied, "considering we already live together and all."
"Yes, well, whatever. It's a plan in progress." Edgar pouted. "I just want to make you love me," he wailed, feigning tears.
"Well," Todo said, "you're in luck." He bent down and kissed his boyfriend on the lips, sweet and slow. When they both pulled back, noses barely brushing, Edgar's eyes remained closed for a few moments before flickering open.
"I'm already hopelessly in love with you," Todo whispered, his eyes boring into Edgar's.
Edgar smirked self-assuredly, but his cheeks were tinting a soft red.
It was only after Edgar left to wrap presents in the living room, quite a few kisses later, that Todo realized how horribly cheesy that had been. "Like something out of a really bad romance novel," he thought. He smiled, shaking his head as he slid underneath their covers. "Blame it on stupid, adorable, wonderful Edgar."
An hour or so later, Todo was awakened to the quiet clicking of the door as it opened, and then shut. Keeping his eyes closed, he heard the soft rustling as Edgar slid off his shirt and pants, slipping into bed in his boxers. Todo rolled over, his eyes opening the slightest bit. "Come," he said in what was meant to be a commanding tone, but came out more sleepy and pleading. "I need warmth." He held out his arms. Edgar chuckled and slid forward, enveloping Todo in his warm embrace. Todo sighed contentedly and buried his face in Edgar's chest.
"Merry Christmas, love," Edgar whispered into Todo's hair, rubbing circles softly into his boyfriend's back. Todo murmured softly in reply, tightening his arms and pressing himself closer to Edgar.
