Everything begun almost two years ago.

I was almost fifteen at the time. The day it happened was a Friday night.

Three hours before everything happened, my friend Elisabeth decided to accompany me after school. We both walked under the bright sun straight to my house, it was one week before I turned fifteen.

It was the day Luke's party was starting. You could basically tell he was the most popular kid in 10th grade. To be honest, I never did parties before, and I never had the will to do so, but I remember Beth looking at me, her bright green eyes begging me to come to the party with her.

So I agreed.

I was unconscious about this whole idea. The expectations started overflowing my head, Beth still talking about what she was going to wear, but I wasn't really there listening to her.

My mum and my dad never knew I was going alone with Beth. That's why we snuck into my room through the window and dressed up to head to Luke's house, probably too early as we thought.

Beth convinced me to take my mum's car, although I didn't even have a driver's licence yet. Of course when you're almost fifteen years old, you feel the urge to act like a thug. I went downstairs, grabbed my mum's car keys silently and walked off behind Beth.

She dragged me into the car and squealed: "Let's go party!"
I felt the nervousness rising up and my cheeks went red. I tried to start the engine and as soon as the car started to drone, we drove off.

Driving car was doubtless the vaguest experience I ever had. I could say, I almost drove ourselves into death, but Beth, who was one year older than me and apparently known for having her license already, stopped me from pushing the trash cans standing on the side of the road.

I didn't understand why she didn't drive the car instead of me, and the moment I wanted to ask her why, she whispered "go left", pointing to a tiny, little white house at the end of the street.

We switched seats so she could do all the parking procedure, and as soon as we got out of the vehicle, a scent of fresh cut grass and cigarette smoke climbed up my nose, sending my brain a message: "This party is not the thing you've expected."

I made my way in with Beth. She pushed us through the people standing around and holding massive bottles or red cups in their hands. I felt the smoke itching in my eyeballs and I looked to the side, breathing heavily.

I tried not to look like a little child, so in any way, I tried to get hard-core with the stuff.

I left Beth, perhaps not the best idea, and walked over to the huge polystyrene box with a tremendous amount of beer in it. Or whatever alcoholic drink it was.

I filled my red cup, held it in one hand and walked over to Luke. He laid on the big, black leather sofa, his legs criss-crossed and one hand grabbing the phone. His eyes were fixated on the screen of his iPhone. He furrowed his eyebrows and shortly after, he started pressing the keys ravenously. I heard his strained voice saying something, I swear I heard the word "shit", and I settled down next to him, also crossing my legs.

"Hey, Luke", I sighed and glanced over to his phone. He hesitated, and all of the sudden, he winced and looked me in the eyes.

"Oh, hi", he slurred and laid his arm around my neck. I blushed slightly, and my eyes caught the cup of beer standing next to his long legs on the floor.

I assumed he was drunk as fuck.

"How's evening?" He continued and looked at his phone again, waiting for the person to answer.
