June's P.O.V.

"Start talking", I break the silence once again and cross my arms in front of my chest, my butt starting to hurt after sitting on the rough stones for now a while.

Gulping, I got myself together and brought myself up on my feet, the dizziness in my head becoming stronger and surprisingly painful.

Another wicked smirk appeared on Ashton's face. "Let's see. Where do we start?" He rubbed his palms together in a dramatic way, triggering an annoyed sigh out of Calum. Ashton pointed at him and alleged: "This guy here in my partner is crime."

I observed how Calum stepped forward and yanked his arm down, resentful of how Ashton threw the jokes around as if it was appropriate. He backed off, raising his palms facing outwards. "Woah, there's no need to make this more complicated than it is. I'm just gonna give the girl the answers she's looking for."

"You better not", Calum threatened, his dark eyes slightly squinting. His expression was frightening.

That statement made Ashton shake his head in pure bliss. "Three thousand dollars, Calum! Three thousand! Can you imagine everything you can do with it? Remember the deal?"

I watch how the boy stepped forward, reaching for Ashton's shirt and snatched his body towards him, staring into his hazel eyes with hatred. "One word and I'll rip of your head right here, right now. Don't test my aggressions, otherwise you'll get to feel them again."

Now I made the decision to cut in between. "Calum, please shut up for once. Three thousand dollars for what deal?"

Ashton exhaled sharply before responding: "The deal of friendship. Give your friend some bills to keep his mouth shut and not be a betrayer."

"I said shut your disgusting mouth!"

Calum's yell booms across the alley, making Ashton and me somewhat wince. Apparently we both were already coped for Calum's sudden outbursts.

I sense the blood pouring out of my temple had reached my chin, dripping down on my shirt, the stinging smell was intolerable.

Calum pushed Ashton away from him and grabs me by the wrist in hurry. "Head back to my house, right now. Climb up the water pipe and wait there, please. I'm gonna clear some things up."

"Tell me about the deal first!"

"You trust me, right?"

His sentence made my heart fell. Of course I trusted him with all my heart, but Ashton's words about a deal triggered curiosity within me. Starting to connect all those dots together, I drew the conclusion that Luke's statement about Calum might have something to do with Ashton's words, yet Calum is the person I reciprocated my trust, not Ashton, also known as the person who viciously stalked and attacked me.

This time, a lump formed in my throat, making me unable to let a word roll off my tongue. He let go of my wrist and lightly pushed me towards the fence.

"Go inside my room and don't open the door."

Nodding, I forced myself through the narrow spaced gate doors and sprinted across the long driveway towards his house, climbing the water pipe in a fast pace, intending not to slip off.

My feet landed solidly on the floor of the balcony.

I trusted Calum. And I hope I wasn't not wrong.

(A/N): Sorry for making this chapter a shorty, but the next one is gonna be mindblowing and sort of sad which I'm gonna write and upload right after I upload this one.

I spent all day planning every single chapter of this book, so I have the story-line finally down and let me tell you, it's not gonna be a pretty plot. A lot of shit is about to go down. I have around 30 future parts down, I highly doubt that I'm going to be adding more chapters but yeah, I hope you're coped!

Stay tuned and make yourself a chill day!
