Chapter Eighteen: Lies & First date plans

I enter my house on a Friday evening feeling tired. I went upstairs to say Hi to my mum.

"Hi Mummy." I said.

"Hi Sweety." She said back. I breathed in. Right here goes nothing.

"Um, Mum, I was wondering if I could go to the cinema tomorrow."

"With who?" She said without looking at me.

"My friend Alyx." That's a lie and you know it. My conscience butted in. I pushed the throught to the back of my mind.

"Never heard of her."

"I walk home with her all the time." Lies, Lies, Lies all of them.

"Where are you going to get the money from?" Instantly I knew that was a yes if I had the money.

"From Dad. I'll ask him now."

Truth is I asked dad during the week but didn't tell mum. She doesn't like dad because he has a girlfriend. Personally I think she is jealous.

I left her room and went to mine. I was buzzing. Tomorrow I was actually going to meet my boyfriend Matt. I'm excited. It was his birthday on Tuesday and he said he would come see me on the weekend.

He turned 18!

Last time he said he would come see me, he disappointed me. He said he wouldn't let me down. He promised and I trust him to keep that promise. I sat on my bed and thought about what I should wear and if I should wear make up or not.

I'm so scared...

I message Matt and make sure he is still coming tomorrow

Me: Hay Baby

Matt: Hi hi :)

Me: Um, are you still coming tomorrow!?

Matt: Yessums

Omg! I'm freaking out...

I-I'm so so happy!

I sit in my livingroom explaining to Matt how to go about where I live. It can be confusing first time round. I'm deciding what to wear.

I can't wait. I watch "The Book Of Life" for the first time ever. I really like it. I post a Happy Birthday Oli Sykes on Instagram because J'adore Oli! Duh!

I also messaged Shauna but she won't reply until 2 years later. I haven't spoken to her in a whike. Barely. We spoke a little in maths today but it was barley anything.

Lacey too. I just think everyone is turning against me. The only person I actually go to is Matt and my internet friend Selina. She is honestly the best.

I grow tired. The book of life isn't as interesting as I thought it would me. I get my earphones and put my playlist on shuffle.
