Monte POV
I wake up with Kahari on my mind. This girl is so different from the ones I usually mess with. It's crazy how she got me feeling. I text her.
Monte: Goodmorning :)
Kahari: Goodmorning :)
Monte: I wanna see you today.
Kahari: You just saw me last night, you miss big daddy k already? lol.
Monte: Lmao, yeah I guess I do. You wanna come over?
Kahari: Yeah, I'll text you when I'm omw.
I lay my phone down & make up my bed. I take ah shower then throw on some basketball shorts, elite socks & ah tee. I fix me some cereal & watch tv.
Kahari POV
Monte text me this morning & asked me to come over :) I got up & took ah shower, brushed my teeth, then threw my hair in ah messy bun. I put on some red basketball shorts, my black & red elite socks, ah black & white tee & my Bred 11s .. I get my phone to text Monte & tell him I'm omw. I lock the door behind me & pull out.
I make it to his house & get out, I guess he heard the door close cuz he came out. He hugged me as soon as I got to the porch.
"Hey." I said.
"It took you long enough to get here."
"I take my time, you ain't special."
"Oh I'm not?" He asks. He picks me up & throws me on the couch, he starts tickling me. I start hitting him trying to make him get off me. "Say Monte's the best!"
"No!"
"Say it!" My stomach hurts now.
"Okay! Monte's the best!" He gets off of me & sits down on the couch. I start looking around, his house is pretty nice.
We watch Friday then leave to get something to eat.
"I want pizza Monte." He pulls into ah pizza hut, we sit down & order. We see the waitress coming, she sits the pizza down.
"Y'all are such ah cute couple! I can't hold it in any longer." She laughs.
"Oh we're not.." Monte cuts me off.
"Thank you, I lucked up when I got her." She smiles then walks off.
"What was that about?"
"There's something I wanna tell you."
"What's that?" I ask.
"You aren't like the girls I usually mess with. You different & I like that. Sometimes at night I just lay down & think about you & how you make me feel better when I'm having ah bad day. You can make anybody happy when you come around. I don't know how you feel about me but you did something to my heart & it'll never be the same." OMG .. I didn't know he felt like that. I'm speechless. "Maybe I shouldn't have said that, I'm sorry."
"No .. You should've. Monte you make my knees weak, you make me feel special. I don't care about dudes & I don't take them seriously but I can't hold myself back from you." He gets up & comes on my side of the booth. He pulls me close & kisses me, I put my hand on his cheek. I might love him. .
Monte POV
I made Kahari mine. I got feelings for her & I'm glad she felt the same way. Now we laying on the couch watching watching the Heat & the Spurs play. She going for the Heat & I'm with the Spurs. I'm laying beside her with my head on her chest. After the game goes off something else comes on & after ah while I look up at her & she's sleeping. She looks so beautiful. I fall asleep but we wake up to my phone vibrating. It's Calvin.
"Hello?"
"Wynter wanna have ah meeting at the trap, he said its important." I sighed.
"Aight, I'm omw." I don't wanna leave Kahari but I have to. "Baby I gotta go handle something right quick, you can stay here."
"Okay." Her sleepy voice got me really not wanting to leave but I have to. I lock her in & head to the trap house.
Kahari POV
I wake up & it's 5 in the evening. Monte had to go somewhere so I get up to go get my charger out my car. When I get downstairs I see this woman that I'm guessing is his mom, her eyes get big.
"Who are you?! What you doing in my house?" She gets ah gun from her waist. I put my hands up.
"I'm Kahari, Monte's girlfriend." She instantly put it back on her waist where he holder is. She hugs me.
"Omg it's so nice to finally meet you! One horrible first impression, I hope I don't run you away. Monte talks about you ah lot." I smile.
"Nice to meet you too. Monte had to go somewhere but he'll be back. I'm gonna go home tho cuz I've been here most of the day."
"Well okay, I hope you come back again."
"Yes ma'am." I walk out. After having ah gun drawn at me I think i'ma just charge my phone at home!
An ambulance is coming so I get outta the way then get back on the road. My mom calls me & tells me to come to the hospital, my aunt is there. I take the exit, park my car & run in. I see my aunt & she's fine. I go get some food for my mom cuz she's staying the night. I go down to the cafeteria. I pass the waiting room & see my cousin Calvin. What's he doing here? He walks up to me & hugs me, I can see sadness & worry on his face.
"What you doing here?"
"My friend got shot."
"Dang I'm sorry. The doctors came out yet?" I see Monte's mom run thru the door, what she doing here? The doctor came out before Calvin could answer.
"Jordan family?" That's Monte's last name, what's going on? "The doctor talks to his mom & she breaks down in tears, she sits down.
"Calvin what happened? What's wrong?"
"My friend Monte got shot in ah drug deal. We went in together & I thought he was right behind me when we came out.."
My heart drops. "What did the doctors say?"
"They don't know if he gon make it." He starts crying & I do too.
"No!" I scream. "Not my baby, not Monte. I just saw him, he said he was coming back! No.. My baby." I felt my knees getting weak, my eyes we closing & I couldn't control it then all I saw was black.
