Kahari POV
I had to go drop SJ off at his mama's house cuz Monte has to take care of some stuff today.
I don't have ah problem with it cuz she doesn't have an attitude with me or disrespect me. I walk up to the door & see an envelope taped to it with Monte's name on it. I take it down & drive to my house. I text him.
Me: hey.
Baby♥: whassup ma? I'm omw to your house now.
Me: it can wait until you get here.
I set my phone down & 10 minutes later Monte comes bursting in my room.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing! What you talking about?" I ask.
"The way you said it can wait until I got here made me think something happened." He leaned down to kiss me & SJ, I handed him the envelope.
"It was on the door when I went to drop SJ off."
He took it out & read ah piece of paper then his eyes got big. He sat down & put his head in his hands. I took the note to read it & what I saw made my heart drop.
Monte POV
I can't believe this! I really can't. She left Atlanta & moved to Brooklyn, New York! I gotta raise SJ on my own now, she don't want no part of him. My mind is gone right now, I don't know what to do. Kahari put Monte to sleep & came back in her room.
"It's gonna be okay babe." She says, she puts her hands around my neck.
"No it's not. I can't raise him by myself Kahari, i'ma kid! How i'ma raise one? I didn't have ah dad around to teach me to be ah man, the streets did. What am I supposed to tell him growing up?"
"You won't be raising him by yourself Monte. You got your mama & me too plus my mama & daddy love him already."
"Yeah but he won't even know his mama."
"Yes he will." She lifts my chin. "Since I love you, I love him too .. I'm here for both of y'all, I'm the only mama he knows." I kiss her cuz what she told me lets me know everything is gonna be okay.
