Kahari POV
*11 months later*
Everything with Monte has been going great. Yeah we have small arguments but nothing has changed, ah few weeks ago made ah year that we've been together. Kierra had ah baby ah few weeks ago, little did any of us know she was pregnant back then! Niveah & Craig are dating now, too. They're ah perfect fit.
Today is SJ's very first birthday! I'm so excited. The party is at ah park downtown & we have this section of it cut off. We have small water slides & baby pools, hamburgers & hot dogs with ah bunch of other foods & juices, all of SJ's friends from daycare are here. My friends & family are here & Monte's friends & family. Music is playing & everybody is having fun.
After the party we go home & help SJ finish opening all the gifts he got. Me & Monte got him this big truck he can ride in the backyard so we take him out there to it.
His eyes get big & he runs towards it.
"Truck! Mommy! Truck!" He gets in it but doesn't know how to drive it so we help him out. After about 30 minutes he's worn out so Monte bathes him & puts him to bed.
I'm downstairs watching ah movie then Monte comes downstairs to watch it with me & we drift off to sleep.
Monte POV
Today was cool & SJ had ah lot of fun. I know Kahari is tired cuz she's already asleep. We laying down on the couch when I hear ah knock at the door. My mama is asleep & ion wanna wake her so I ease from under Kahari & go to answer it. I looked but didn't see anybody, I grabbed my gun & open the door. Soon as I did, the person on the other side had ah gun to my head.
I know it was short but my uncle s funeral is in ah bit but I wanted to update before we leave.
